         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Quality Education:</strong> the importance of voting, and the consequences of not voting; relevant current events contextualizing course material; historical overview of Civil War/Reconstruction Amendments (13th-15th)</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Concern for the Poor and Social Justice:</strong> Prop 50 discussion regarding the significance of gerrymandering; main content centered on civil rights, highlighting Loving vs. Virginia anti-miscegenation statute</p><p><br/></p><p>I very much enjoyed the opportunity to experience Mr. Kelly's teaching and classroom environment. The students were engaged and responded well to the transitions of content and course material. Since this is an AP class, students were prepared and responsive to questions posed. The class was primarily lecture, but that is likely a result of the breadth of content that is required for AP testing. My main takeaway is the quality of the information being posed and the relevance of the course material in our current socio-political situation. Thank you for the interesting detour, Mr. Kelly!</p>]]></description>

         <title>Scripture - Lannan - 2nd period</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Really enjoyed Mr. Lannan's Scripture class.  Students presented on Exodus &amp; Social Movements.  Students were engaged, provided feedback and debriefed on the presentation Progressive Era/Child Labor.  This was a creative way to connect Social Movements to Scripture.  Very organized.  Teacher has created a great culture and high expectations within the class.  This really connects to respect for all persons as well as concern for the poor &amp; social justice.  Awesome!</p>]]></description>
