- I highly recommend this book for either your own reading or using it in the classroom from fifth through ninth grade. The book tugs on every emotion you can imagine and makes you not want to put the book down.
- It teaches to step back and think about other people's stories and to "walk in their shoes" so you can try to understand their story. It also teaches children to accept others for who they are. This text also provides an opportunity to teach about bullying and preventing bullying.
