My reflection on the Titanic is I really liked looking into the survivors profiles to see what they had to say about the event.

They all were left with some horrible memories of losing a parent or mother or sibling. Just the memory of the last time they saw a family member was before the ship sank and to live with that for the rest of your life would be horrifying.

I wouldn't know what to do if the last time I saw a family member was right before they died. I would have nightmares just like the ones of the ship had. It can affect us

because it makes us think about if we were there, what would we want to remember, how it would make us feel, what memories would we have, and how would we feel

watching so many people die and maybe one or more people were family. Working with others to find out info was awesome because we got to share things we thought of

At the start of the project we had to determine what we were going to do. We all liked the idea of doing the Titanic so we then had to find all of the information we needed.

We found newspapers, pictures, and biographies. We then split up our group into the different jobs that we had. We got all of the information we needed and wrote down the biographies.

We then posted them on the website and found pictures to go with them. We also found different videos that we put on the website. Overall I think that the project was good.

My group has been researching the Titanic and the different perspectives of the passengers. To do this, we have chosen a passenger from each class, and we have analyzed their story, and what they have said about surviving the sinking of the RMS Titanic. After gathering basic facts about each passenger, we looked at how they were treated, before the sinking, and during the sinking. Looking at all of the evidence we have gathered, we are working on compiling an argument about the different perspectives of passengers, and how the higher class passenger, the better you would valued and treated.

After doing the initial research, we are arguing how history, such as the sinking of the Titanic, affects ordinary people. To do this, we have looked at tragedies that have occurred in the world, then analyzing how people improved, so not to have the same thing happen again.

It made me understand that I have to take other people's perspectives under

consideration before doing and/or saying anything. Also, I have to, if I'm having an argument, let the other person talk and say what they think and then respond or just keep arguing. I learned how to see other

people's perspectives but I didn't change my perspective about the world or the people around me.

This has been a okay project so far. Looking at the various perspectives around the Louisiana Purchase has been really interesting.

One of the few things I didn't like is working in a group. I've never really liked group projects, so I think this could have been better if everybody had the option of working by themselves, or choosing their groups.

The main reason why I don't like working in groups is because there are always people that goof off. This is true with this project. A lot of the time during our in-class time to work on the project, several people in my group spent way too much time goofing off and texting instead of working. I feel like our project is going to suffer, since they're probably gonna do most of their work on Sunday and the project will seem rushed when they put it onto the Google Doc.

I feel like the project, overall, went well. I think that doing things such as checklists and assigning jobs that are easy to understand helped us be successful. It seemed pretty tedious and useless while making them, but I feel like they have helped us organize ourselves in the long run. I feel like they also helped get everyone involved with the project by letting them know what everyone needed to do. I think I learned a lot about how to work well with others in groups, and how to organize our tasks so everyone has a part. However, I do feel like it was all a bit rough at a first, since we were not used to working like this, so everything did not go smoothly while it was happened. Though I think it involved many process skills, I think that it helped me with the organize, formulate, relate, and infer process skills the most. Organize, because we had to organize all of our information in a single presentation, and because we had to organize our tasks in lists. Formulate, because we had to formulate a plan for our project. Relate, because the project involved a lot of relating our historical event to other events, and to the future. Infer, because we had to look into what certain people said and did to infer how and why they developed certain perspectives. Overall, I think that I learned a lot from this project, but it did not go very smoothly at first due to it being new to us.

To me I don't think nothing went wrong because it seemed like everyone was finding what they needed and we found out what was confusing to us so we would know what to do right. What I learned was the stonewall riots and the LGBT rights movement. I didn't even know stonewall riots took place back then and that people had to fight for gay rights. I'm better at organizing the work that needs to be done, I knew how to explained the wanted information, and I seen the connections between history in the past with the present history.

I didn't even know this event existed, but I liked what I learned about it. Also this problem still is a problem today in some places. So I don't think it will be fixed at this moment. Many people are even against it and some aren't, but what I think is that we can't stop people because the more we stop the more they will keep fighting back and I don't think we can control many peoples life. Also I felt like we did kind of bad at first when we didn't really know what to do, but we did well throughout the assessment. Finally, I liked what I learn about this and also it was interesting on what you can learn and also learn about events that you didn't know existed.

Learning about a small historical event that changed the lives of many people today is very interesting. History as we know it impacts the life of many, however analyzing such a small event and seeing that it changed the lives of many seems satisfying at the end. History gives people the chance of more freedom and a better understanding of why such specific events happen. While researching I started to notice that people surrounding the event were also impacted even though they weren't a part of it. Seeing things happen and being scared of speaking out is the worst thing a person can do, especially if you have the chance to be in a event that changes the course of homosexuality; in this case. This project also helped me develop helpful research skills, that are basically essential to life. Overall, I believe that this assessment was fun, and interesting, mostly because we came across interesting facts and information.

I think this project went well because we were able to work together with our groups to research information about our topics and even learn about different perspectives. Through the time we spent on this project, I think this has improved our research skills by discovering new websites and information. I learned many new things about prohibition including how prohibitionists, anti-prohibitionists, and the government felt during the eighteenth amendment and how they were all affected. The only thing that I can think of that did not go well was our hard time designing goals and jobs for everyone in our group because it took a while to decide, but ended up helping us to get our project done. The process skills that I think I am developing are the ability to analyze historical documents, communicate between one another in our group, create a presentation for our project, explain our research, and prioritize the things that need to be done.

The time period in American history my group decided to do was in the early 1960's, JFK's assassination. The process we went through was kind of crazy. At first, we tried to find perspectives of people who were overjoyed and devastated about his death to show how propaganda can change perspective and therefore 'truth'. However....out turns out everybody in the world loved the guy so there was a lack of perspective variation. We then decided to make our argument more broad and instead of just trying to find perspectives of people who liked/disliked JFK, we found perspectives on how leadership can be considered untouchable by some, and recyclable trash to others.

Because of all these changes, our checklists, outlines, and graphs changed very often and they turned out not really helping at all. So our organizing skills didn't really improve, but our research skills sure did, being able to find perspectives of different positions and historical documents quite quickly. not only that, but we were able to explain what the things we found meant. In the end, some of our skills were enhanced, just maybe not the expected ones.

All in all, learning more about MLK JR's assassination was refreshing, but tiring. I had always thought about his dying being very melancholy, simultaneously being inspirational, but I was not aware of specific persons' perspectives on the situation. My overall view was "sad, but it changed the world". I didn't really think too much about it, until this project. I was actually interested throughout, because civil rights itself has always been an interesting concept for me. So...what worked in the project? I thought that everybody was satisfied doing a job. We all knew we had to do something, so there wasn't much of an uprising within the group. Everyone has their own niche and what they enjoy to contribute; we just need to find it...together!!! What didn't work? Throughout the project, it was always difficult to know what we all need and the next step to take. When there were times that I could only think of a few things to do, I would hate to just assign empty duties (no need for it), so it was just sort of awkward, but fun...? I don't know if that makes sense...How was it tiring? So, here is my honest opinion: I hated the pre-work assignments every day. I feel like the multiple checklists, lists, and charts, and etc, just made me confused and ate up our work time. I had a general idea and I don't believe it helped my group. We got the work done and really didn't refer back to anything that was assigned because I sort of like to wing things, to just GO and ask questions along the way. So, my feedback would be for the students to take class time to work and ask questions when needed. And, maybe save the last five minutes of class to answer class questions and confront concerns? So, the process skills that I believe I have developed would have to be definitely applying. We had to apply this rambling research to make sense of it and add it to our presentation. Summarizing was also another important part I am learning. To take so many words and illustrations and make sense (almost to paraphrase) of it can not always be easy, but it worked out in the end! Lastly, another example would have to be to organize. For the Padlet, we had to take individual notes and realizations and use this to organize a presentable format that will impress many people. Hey, who knows? Maybe we can make a difference!

We chose that historical event pretty quick because it fit the question we wanted to answer just right. We cooperated well together! Everyone had a set thing to do and nobody argued about what they wanted to do or what they DIDN'T want to do. Everyone had a jolly time and we helped each other out if we needed it. The skills I think I learned or strengthened were: Analyze, Generalization, Infer, Construct, Connect, Describe, and Summarize. All of these skills are amazing to have because they describe everyday life.

I think my group worked well with others with helping researching, citing and finding perspectives. Everybody knew what they were doing but we had trouble assigning tasks.

I view perspectives in a different way. This project helped me notice how people think and why they think it. Different things affect different people. Martin Luther King helped me notice how hard it was for some people to adapt to the fact that he is dead, he defined "hope" for some people. He created relief for people. Some didn't agree with King's ideas so his death didn't affect all, but what he said did let everyone know that life is to short to judge people on their color. This whole project and the researching made me better at reasoning, and opening my eyes to new things.

Destiny's Perspective
I liked this project , but it was to complicated . It was a fun and all of us interacted but this project was a lot of pressure on me because it was so much work and it seemed like everything had to be perfect. Our group had a hard time cause it was too much confusion and we always ended up having to make everything perfect.

I think the project would have been more interesting under different circumstances. Trying to find perspectives of dead people who weren't necessarily famous is difficult. I love look up things about my family tree and discovering ancestors but trying to apply that to the perspectives assessment was hard to do. I think that there were a lot of requirements for the project and trying to work with one family with a group of 5 people was confusing. I loved the big idea of this project and think it was a great idea but was just confusing for us with this particular project.

This assessment was good, but also had its ups and downs. I thought that the assessment was very good in many ways but also negative in several ways. For example this made the students be able to research and understand the material better also it helped them work together, but on the other hand it was too complicated for some students and it wasn't specific enough.

I really enjoyed this project and finding out interesting things about my ancestors. I also enjoyed working in a group for this project, I think group work helps me understand things better. The only thing I would complain about is sometimes I got very confused on what I was supposed to do. Then again, being in a group resolved all my questions. I would love to do a project like this again because I found it very informative and fun to do.

I liked how I had gotten to see how the Indians felt towards the Louisiana Purchase. This project is fascinating by knowing that this was an actual thing back in the day. Lewis and Clark got the Indian tribes to combined and signed the pettition so that the Purchase could be made.
