Acabo de terminar mis vacaciones de Costa Rica.Aprendí mucho en Costa Rica y me alegro de que mi viaje fue tan enriquecedora.En Costa Rica, las personas se refieren a sí mismos como ticos y es una frase muy común. Estoy aprendí que soy un estadounidense, que significa que soy de Los Estados Unidos. Mientras que en Costa Rica, estoy aprendido mucho sobre su cultura. Por ejemplo, la familia es una parte muy importante de la vida Costa Rica y muchas familias tienen niños que permanecen con sus padres en el Colegio.Pero la familia no es lo único importante en la cultura costarricense por ejemplo educación es tampoco muy importante.En Costa Rica, la educación es muy importante, de hecho los costarricenses están obligados a recibir una educación.Escuelas en Costa Rica se configuran de manera similar a los de los Estados Unidos pero no son completamente el igual. Mayoría de las universidades no tienen dormitorios y en cambio los estudiantes quedaran en casa durante la Universidad. Casas en Costa Rica pueden ir desde pequeñas cabañas hasta grandes mansiones y pueden variar drásticamente en colores. Casas Costa Rica tienen típicamente un cerco alrededor de ellos con algún tipo de entrada cerrada que conduce a la casa. Personas en Costa Rica tienen muchas diversión y pasatiempos interesantes que son similares a los que en los Estados Unidos. Por ejemplo, practicar deportes, ir compras, y ir al cine son todos los populares actividades en Costa Rica.Ir de compras es otra actividad favorita en Costa Rica. Gente en Costa Rica le encanta ir de compras al centro comercial.Centros comerciales en Costa Rica son muy grandes y tienen muchas tiendas, una sala de cine y patios de comida. Alimentos en Costa Rica son muy bueno. Un plato popular es el arroz y frijoles, y una bebida popular es un fresco. Las comunidades de Costa Rica son muy mente de deportes porque el fútbol es un deporte muy popular y las bandas de la comunidad juntas para muchos eventos deportivos. Comunidades en Costa Rica también se centran en una cultura de alimentación vibrante, con muchos restaurantes y supermercados donde la gente va a comer y comprar alimentos. Tengo un montón de diversión en mi viaje a Costa Rica, y aprendí mucho. I've noticed that in spanish simple words could have complex forms and that you need to know exactly which form to use for which context, unlike how in English there are many words that can mean the same thing but only have one ending for which context you are using it for. I thought that how close the families are,  how education is a strong influence, and how food is very individualized was very interesting and exciting in the Costa Rican culture. I also admired the sheer natural beauty that Costa Rica has itself as well.

I would hope to learn how to communicate and understand conversations with native spanish-speaking people if i were to further my education of the spanish language. The idea of being able to speak two languages is very exciting and appealing to me.

My experience with an online class started off stressfully because I was unable to start on time. I also felt very overwhelmed and out of place because the instructions weren't very clear to me in the beginning. I liked that the course had all of its assignments laid out for you and that you were able to know when exactly assignments were due. I didn't like how the e-linguafolio was set up because i felt that it was unecesarry to have it in the first place. I also felt as if the way assignments were laid out and which mediums you could use to complete the assignments could have been improved.

I practiced my vocabulary a lot to help me learn spanish in this course. Not only did i study the vocabulary, I also listened to the recordings, practiced my pronunciation, and kept solid notes... but I also made several studying techniques throughout the course. I can keep practicing and exploring new pathways of education and learning to improve my spanish learning in the future. I can also look back at the notes that i took in this course and expand on them as well.

My instructor was extremely helpful overall because not only did he answer questions, provide good examples, and go at a steady pace... but he also gave us all outside resources for whichever topic we were discussing and even gave us extra learning tools in his announcements.
