         <title>Xia Dynasty (2070 - 1600 BCE)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Xia Dynasty lasted from 2070 to 1600 BCE and was the first dynasty.&nbsp; Almost all from the Xia Dynasty came from ancient writings from the <em>Records of the Grand Historian</em> and the <em>Bamboo annals</em>. Most historians assumed the Xia dynasty was a myth after it fell, and that it didn't really happen. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Shang Dynasty also called the Yin Dynasty, is thought to have lasted from 1600 to 100 BCE. This dynasty is said to have included 31 kings and seven capital cities.&nbsp;In the Shang dynasty oracles bones were used and were shells of a turtle that people would write on and burn it over a fire to get answers from the god. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Zhou dynasty ruled China from about 1027 to about 221 BCE. This was the longest Dynasty of them all.&nbsp;<br>The Zhou period is divided into Western Zhou (1027–771 BCE), Eastern Zhou (770–221 BCE), 770–476 BC the Spring and Autumn period, and 475–221 BCE the Warring States period.&nbsp; Accomplishments were that in this dynasty were crossbows and horseback riding. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Han Dynasty (206 BCE- 220 CE)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Han Dynasty is divided into two periods, the earlier, Western Han Dynasty, and the later, Eastern Han Dynasty. Accomplishments were the invention of science and technology. The Han dynasty invented paper, used water clocks, and sundials, and developed a seismograph. The Han Dynasty began with a revolt against the Qin Emperor. Liu Bang is the son of a peasant family. When the Qin Emperor was killed there was a war for four years between Liu Bang and his rival Xiang Yu. Liu Bang won the war and became the new emperor.</div>]]></description>
