Most people think that the track season starts in the Spring. However, for these determined athletes, the track season starts in the Winter. Almost every day of the week, Coach Mr. Bill Kalkman leads his Brophy track team in preseason workouts that focus on strengthening fundamentals and getting stronger and faster. General sprint workouts are every Monday and Thursday, jumping workouts are every Tuesday, and Pole Vault works out every Wednesday and Friday.

I enjoyed feeling like a true journalist for the first time taking photos in my life. I've always thought that it would be a fun job to be a sports journalist, so actually seeing what that is like was an enjoyable experience. I also liked telling a story about other people's hard work for my photo essay. I enjoyed bringing attention to a group that doesn't get much attention

Documenting vs Art

Taking pictures for the purpose of art and for the purpose of documenting are both gratifying but for different reasons. When focusing on art, it is more fun focusing of actually taking great and creative photos. When focusing of documenting, it is more fun to put words into a picture. Even though both styles of photography have their difficulties, I think that it is generally harder taking photos for documenting. The reason is that you don't work on your own schedule when documenting other people unlike art
