Personal Reflection (part 1)

Dear Ruoxi, today is January 13th, 2025. It's the first day back to school! Now, let's rewind and look back at the wonderful events that took place in 2024. In January 2024, you traveled to Hawaii with your mom dad, and brother! Together, you guys traveled to Honolulu, and Kauai! In Honolulu, you had the BEST pineapple ice cream. Really, it was melt in your mouth. And the pineapple topping was a chef's kiss. But the best thing was catching the last bit of a sunset. It was truly an amazing sight to see. After staying in Honolulu for a few days, you guys traveled to Kauai. Here, your tried fresh coconuts, a huge shaved ice, and saw the red canyons. That night, you had dinner at a really nice restaurant. It was accompanied by the astonishing view of koi fishes in the water, oh and also, the best tasting crab cakes ever. Now, that was a quick recap of your amazing Hawaii trip. Fast forward to March 2024, it was time for the annual Dance Show. This year, you decided to perform your first solo. The performance in the end, was not exactly great but you learned so many things through Dance. On March 8th, you mom took you and your brother to The Shed, a small eatery that had a view west Vancouver. The pizza was AMAZING. On March 24th, you also watched KUNFU PANDA 4 with your brother and mom. It was a great movie! You guys had ZUBU afterwards. On April 18th, it was time for the band trip to Seattle. Your first stop when you got there was WINGSTOP, and it was heavenly. You then went to visit the space needle, where you took so many pictures with your friends. That night, you went to watch the Seattle Symphony perform. The next day, you guys went to visit the museum of pop, and that was so fun. Afterwards, you went to the public market, got Starbucks, chipotle, and had dinner at an Italian restaurant. That night was spent on the ferris wheel and witnessing a beautiful sunset. Oh, and you guys also did karaoke on the ferris wheel, ad THAT WAS SO FUN. Oh and also, you guys performed at the Heritage Music festival and got a silver award! In may 2024, you saw northern lights for the first time in your life. Remember when your mom woke you up at 12 just to see this together? It was so worth it. For project week, your group ended up winning the 1st place for the Delany's presentations! Now that's and achievement. You also went to see the Whitecaps vs Inter Miami game. In June 2024, You celebrated your 15th birthday with friends at Cactus Club! You also spent that special day with family at Haidilao Hotpot. This month, you also went to the Hello Kitty Café, and the cakes were superb. For summer break 2024, your mom took you and your brother to Japan. You guys spent that memorable time in Tokyo. You guys ate at many good restaurants, went to the top tier of Tokyo Tower, and Tokyo Disneyland. Afterwards, you guys went back to China, and caught up with family and friends. That time was also spent in Shanghai, where you had amazing Paella. In Zhengzhou, your dad took you and your brother to the Invention Convention China. There, you met the ambassadors of Jamaica, Namibia, and Argentina. It was truly a memorable experience. Then it was back to school in September. In October 2024, you saw the northern lights a second time, can you believe it? On Nov 1st, your grandma's bday, you guys drove to whistler, had amazing Italian food at Il Caminetto, and your dad took you and your brother to play an escape room. You also got your first jellycats there! In Nov, you spent your time volunteering at the Shipyards Christmas Market. For Christmas, your family had a FEAST. You got jewellery, a new camera, and so much more. You also went skiing for the first time with your dad, and after you guys went so many more times. That was your quick recap of 2024!

Part 2: Goals for the current year (2025)

This year, you have many goals. A big part of it is to get a satisfactory score in the SAT. You are working hard towards this goal. Another goal is to go out more, spend time with friends, or go shopping alone. Hopes for the future are, to get into a good university, to work a dream job, and to get your very own pet! You're hoping to achieve all of these goals, both academic and social. Right now, what you fear the most is not being good enough for school, for people, for everyone. Enough with the sad part, on to your achievements! 1. You went skiing for the first time! 2. You made new friends! The academic pressure is real but just know that there is nothing you can't achieve.

Why? Baking has always been a hobby, and recently, you have been baking lots, which has also been helpful for you to take a break from studying.

You will hopefully:

Working your dream job
Maybe open a Bakery? One that sells tasty French desserts and food
Apple will publish iPhone 27? possibly idk
More Robots than People? (that's kinda scary ngl)
ALL cars will no longer require a human driver
Traveling to a country with foreign language will no longer require you to use translator of any type. There will be glasses, similar to Meta Rayban, or a watch that can automatically live translate for you.

And with that, 2024 passed by in the blink of an eye. That year was filled with memories and achievements. So, my question to you is, Ruoxi in 2035, did you achieve academic greatness, or what job are you working now? Did you open your own bakery? Or another business? What about your dream school? How were the 4 years? How bout your own pet? If you were to look back at 2025, what advice would you have given to yourself?That is me, signing off. See you in 2035!
