Celebrating Europe Day- eTwinning Day

Within the eTwinning project “Our little Twinners are creating the new century”, our students celebrated, with enthusiasm and creativity, two important events in May: eTwinning Day (9 May) and Europe Day. The activity aimed to promote European values, international cooperation and team spirit among students from different countries.

Students participated in thematic workshops, made drawings, posters and collages highlighting the symbols of the European Union, cultural diversity and the importance of collaboration between schools. They also composed messages of friendship and unity in European languages, sang the European Anthem and discussed the role of eTwinning in the development of a modern and inclusive education.

This activity was a wonderful opportunity to encourage active involvement of students, to stimulate creativity and civic awareness, as well as to strengthen ties with project partners. Celebrating these days provided an ideal framework to reflect on the common values that unite us and the future we are building together.

To celebrate the end of the project and eTwinning's birthday, in the evening we watched a cartoon about the environment in the school courtyard.

A visit to the ecological camp

The students of the 4th grade A from the “George Coșbuc” Vocational School in Medieșu Aurit enthusiastically participated in an educational activity held in the Ecological Camp in Tarna Mare, within the eTwinning project “The New Century”. The activity aimed to form a responsible attitude towards the environment and encourage a sustainable lifestyle.

A highlight for the children was the discovery of houses built from PET bottles filled with sand – a creative and ecological construction application that reduces pollution and uses recyclable materials. The students were involved in a practical exercise in estimation and calculation: they determined the number of PET bottles needed for such construction, analyzed the amount of sand used and had discussions about the use of natural and environmentally friendly materials.

In addition to the educational part, the children spent time in the middle of nature, enjoying fresh air, team games and activities that stimulated their creativity, ecological thinking and the spirit of collaboration.

This experience was a memorable one for the students, contributing to the development of an early ecological awareness and the formation of values that correspond to the ideals of a "new century" - a cleaner, more responsible and closer to nature.

Our work continues

We succed to make a panel with information about our project. Students made a selection of the photos and materials we used during the project.They also added some badges they had used to celebrate the Earth Day in April.

The students chose a subject they liked and created a poem using artificial inteligence .The poem is called ,, The Ocean Song ".They also succeded to learn all its stanzas in pairs.They did a great job.Some of them were very shy and nervous but, in the end, they were able to say it together .We also sent the video to their parents .
