Film projectors were used in schools in the 80's to show educational films. This wasnt very offten though as they had to be cranked by hand. It was very shaky and not a very good picture. However, all the lights had to be turned off to use which gave some studtes the chance to slack off without getting caught.

In the 90's they moved on from film projectors to overhead projectors. Teachers could place a peice of paper on it which would shine onto the wall or they could place a slip that could be written on and shown to the class. The lights still had to be dimmed for this which gave the slackers the chance to slack.

on some ocassions in the 90's students were let into the compuer lab or libaries to use computers for reaserch. This could pose as a challange as not everyone had very much practice when it came to typing. At some points it was easier to hand write an assignmnet than to sit in the lab and type it, however, in some cases for bigger assignmnets it was bennifical. Computers were never in the classrooms and students had to take a trip to the computer lab or libary to use them.

In the 2000's tecahers were able to use projectors that could link to their computers. They were able to show PowerPoints or videos. Teachers also had doc cameras that would show what was under it on the projectors. However, it is still not like today and was only shown onto the wall ans was not interactive like they are today with smartboards.

Once it was my time to shine in school in the 2010's Chromebook carts became a thing. Teachers were able to rent the cart when it was needed to do research for certian assignmnets or type up an essay. When I walked into class and saw this cart I just knew we were in for a big assignment. Of course it took about half the class period before everyone could get logged in.

Smartboards were in every classroom when I was in school. This gave teachers a way to show interactive activites that we could all take turns doing. Teachers could also use the stilist markers to write on the screen. This is also where the projected videos and lessons would take place.

Later into my school career in 2019 all studdents in my school were assigned their own chromebook. We would use them in school and were able to take them home. This made it much easier to communicate with teachers and continue assignments that we started during the school day. This is also where we had all classes and assignmnets during the pandemic.
