I think that both were definetly stressed, we grew up playing travel sports year round. My dad was the coach of many of my sports teams and I think that he definitely taught us the importantance of competition especially with yourself. I do however think that cooperation was stressed just as much, every sport that we played was a team sport and I am the oldest of three brothers so there was a lot of learning to work together in my household as well. Overall, I think that both were equally stressed.

I believe that the punishment I received was fairly typical for my generation. I was often in trouble, especially when I was smaller, so I had a lot of experience with punishment. I think that my parents did a good job of getting their point across to me through lecturing. I was also often grounded as a punishment, which frequently taught me the lesson that they were trying to teach me.

I grew up in a religous household so I grew up going to a Catholic church and learning about Catholocism first. It was not until I go older then I started to learn a lot more about other religions, I mostly learned about these in lower and middle school where I attended a Jewish school that not only taught me a lot about Judaism but also about every other religion that there is in the world. We had a great teacher who taught history to everyone for all 8 years who stressed the importance of the teachings of every religion.

I think that I learned about these through my family, particularly through my parents and my grandparents. It was stressed to me from an early age how important the elderly were. Not just because they had been around for longer than us, but also because they had so much to teach us from the knowledge that they possessed.
