The battle of yorktown was necessary because the british surrendered after losing 8,000 soldiers. It was successful because the americans had very light casualties. George Washington initiated a week long artillery fire on the british, 10 days before the surrender. This caused the british to retreat into their bunkers. After a long time they did not have enough food and supplies, so they surrendered. The battle caused 8,000 british soldiers to be captured.

The declaration of Independence was a very necessary event that needed to happen. If the writing of the declaration never happened then we would most likely still be under the rule of Great Britain and not have been able to succeed in other great wars, like the battle of Saratoga which was a great turning point in the war. Thanks to our third president Thomas Jefferson who wrote the declaration of Independence we now have our freedom and rights. Such as "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". The writing of the Declaration of Independence was hard because it had to be written a certain way to gain freedom. The people who helped write the Declaration of Independence were the committee of five Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Robert Livingston, Robert Sherman, and the main author Thomas Jefferson. As you can see the declaration of Independence was a very important event in History that was necessary.

The Declaration of Independence was the most important thing in the resolution and here's why. The Declaration was the reason Britain Went to because King George The III hated it. The Declaration was Written by 5 people but mostly because his writing skills and for having the least amount of enemies,Thomas Jefferson wrote the most. Also The Declaration helped Achieve what they've been fighting for years, FREEDOM! Because the British surrendered they got the sweet freedom that they wanted. And for the end i will and a... FUN FACT I guy named David N Redden Accidentally Bought the first copy of the Declaration of Independence on accident.

Yes, James Armistead benefited the patriots a lot. For example with him writing reports to Lafayette and General George Washington they were able to stop 10,000 reinforcements from the British. Another example is when Armistead gained the trust of the British he provided information that allowed American forces to prevail at the Battle of Yorktown. Here is another example is when Lafayette employed Armistead as a spy, and while working with lafayette he successfully infiltrated the British General Charles Cornwallis's headquarters posing as a runaway slave hired by the British to spy in the Americans. James himself was born in Virginia as a slave to William Armistead in 1748, he volunteered to join the Army in 1781. That was his earlier life before he joined the Army and became well known for his spying. In conclusion James Armistead was an enslaved African American who is now best known for his spy work.

George Washington Was Important to the revolutionary war because he was able to have little experience in the army to lead his troops so he was able to take hours on end to help and learn what to do in the war against the british He would spend 8-9 hours every single day on end to learn how to command and deal with taxes ammo and business conflicts in one day of work.George Washington was able to hire someone like marquis de lafayette do be a spy for the british so he could has information about he wear abouts. In his time of the general for the army he had marquis de lafayette to be a spy so he would know what location at all times and planning for the british.Marquis de lafayette assisted him in his plans on helping him out.General Washington needed help from the french for support and and resources without them general washington would have not been able to win this war because he was so good at politics and other life skills he could get the french on is side so he had backup. General Washington was smart enough to get a spy and help him out lord cornwallis thought marquis de lafayette was a spy for the british but he was telling fake information about him so washington had the huge upper hand cause they had taught him what to do in these situation he was able to think what to do in certain situation like this one because he was taught to do because he was born into that role in the army because of his grades and others did not have such grades he was the best in the new enlisted group for the army.Even tho he had little experience that goes to show you can do anything if you put your mind to it. The French was able to arrive before the british soldiers because george washington had a stronger connection to the french the british was not coordinated enough that's why he could not get there before the french because they were not designed enough to be able to communicate that why we were able to win inspite in horrible conditions. He also gave freedom to everyone and put all his faith and trust into god.George washington helped marquis de lafayette to get out of the area with their lives in case of emergency lie the british finding him when the americans lead the charge.

I believe that James Armistead Lafayette was a good person when it came to helping. My reasoning is that by spying for the Americans he was able to lead them to victory at war. He also was a double agent. Meaning that he spied for the Americans and the British. The thing is he didn't actually spy for the British. When he came back from "spying" on the Americans he gave the British fake information. He told them to stay put where they were giving the americans time to make it where the British were. By doing this the Americans were able to win the Revolutionary war. The way James convinced the British to let him spy was by pretending to be a runaway slave. The end of his life came August 9th 1830. That's why I think that James Armistead Lafayette was a good person.

James Armistead worked under Benedict Arnold and cause of that got significant information of the redcoats movement which helped significantly. In the year 1781 at the Battle of Yorktown, James Armistead overheard that british reinforcements were approaching and then told George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette. Which the allowed the both of them to conceive a blockade approaching enemy advancements. This success resulted in a last huge victory for the colonists because right then and there Lord Cornwallis surrendered on October 17, 1781.

Well here's how George washington started off as a farmer regular person he had a lot of patience and overall a good guy George washington did not go to college but he studied geometry and trigonometry. Soon enough he became a commander he was a smart man he gave a surprise attack by crossing a ice river and attacking the enemy base he was still good at farming when he was a commander so he would still farm for food. Then the revolutionary war he led the troops and commanded them then after seven years George washington finally won it was a long battle. After that they decided that George washington became president. So that's how George washington became president.

The Patriots were low on ammunition, so they were told not to fire until they saw the white in the redcoats eyes.

think it was necessary because if they had won the battle they would have more confidence that they would win the American Revolution and to prepare them for the next battle against the British. The battle of bunker hill was very brutal but in the end, the British won physically but the Patriots won emotionally because it took the British three times to get to the hill and fight. At the end of the war, the Patriots know how to prepare when they fight again. Most of the fighting happened between Breed’s Hill and Bunker Hill. One of the people fighting on the Patriot's side was a former slave. The cause of this battle was that the British wanted to control them and from it, the effect was that the Patriots knew who they were going up against during the American Revolution. This is why I think the battle of bunker hill was necessary and some facts about it.

Why George Washington was an important leader in the continental army. The thing makes George Washington a good leader is his personality, leadership and keeping his troop in good shape to fight the British army. His whole troop were imperfectly trained while they were going, his troop were having a shortage of supply of food and ammunition.o he had to find a way to help them pass through it.George Washington told his army to made a wooden hut for themselves to keep them surviving in the winter and trying to keep his army warm since they didn’t have enough blanket. In conclusion George Washington is a good leader because of his personality to made it where the army keep going and made they continental army won the war. -Luu

It happened on December 16th, 1773, at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston. 342 chests of tea was dumped into the Boston Harbor by the British, a large group of men (many reportedly members of Sons Of Liberty) disguised themselves as Native Americans.
The army at the Valley Forge By . by.ESTEBAN Valley Forge and George Washington. Encampment constructed over two miles of breastworks, 6 redans, and 5 redoubts. 25 bake ovens were built to supply the army daily with 10,000-12,000 loaves of bread. There were approximately 1,300 huts in the encampment along with other shelters and sheds for supplies and animals.Due to the almost total breakdown of supply services in February, Washington found it necessary to force the local population to supply the army in exchange for continental script. There were between 250 to 300 women and children at the encampment. During the winter of 1777 to 1778, Washington camped with his troops at Valley Forge, nearly twenty miles north of Philadelphia. Images of bloody footprints in the snow, soldiers huddled around lonely campfires, and Washington on his knees, praying that his army might survive often come to mind when people hear the words "Valley Forge. And that’s why i chose George Washington he was a good leader.

James Armistead was an important spy because he told the Americans information on British positions. And when the British hired him to spy for them he gave them false information on American reinforcements and the amount of troops they had and the amount of weapons they had but he remained loyal to the Americans. And he also helped the American attack the British at Yorktown. And that battle virtually ended the American Revolution. He helped the Americans take yorktown by telling the Americans that Lord Cornwallis was moving troops to a different position this gave them an advantage to attack so at night they would set
up defensive positions around the city and wait for them to surrender and they did so that is how he was important to American Revolution.

I believe that Charles Cornwallis was helpful and important during the revolutionary war becase he served and helped in the revolutionary war as a general for years and rewarded victory for british forces in 1780. He was also a british soldier and statesman in around 1757.One of his other accomplishments is that he won against general Horatio Gates at Camden,South Carolina on August 16,1780.Unfortunatly he was forced to surrender his army of 8,000 british troops on october 17th 1781.He voted against the stamp act and other british policies in 1776.He was born on december 31st, 1738 in London,England and passed away October 5th, 1805 at the age of 66 due to a fever. In concluson he was very useful and helpful most of his life in the revolutionary war and many other historical events

The American Revolution is one of the biggest events in American history, there are events leading up to it. Today we are talking about the Boston Massacre. The Boston Massacre is one of the major reasons for independence from Britain and one of the most controversial topics and was necessary for independence. It was necessary because it is one of the most well-known reasons for independence. Additionally, It was well known because 5 colonists were killed in the Boston Massacre. Before the Boston Massacre, (February 22nd) A mob broke out which attacked a loyalist’s store. A nearby policeman shot into the mob and killed an innocent 11-year-old. Some days after this event a group of workers attacked redcoats, this did not kill anybody but it did set a stage for the Boston Massacre to come. It is 1770, March 5th. A mob showed up attacking red coats. It was getting intense for the redcoats so they fired into the crowd. They killed 5 colonists. This was the day that the Boston Massacre happened. This event was devastating for the redcoats, colonists, and the British. Colonists were enraged, both the patriots and loyalists thought it was an unfortunate event. Of those five colonists that were killed, Crispus Attucks was one of them. He is considered one of the first people who died for independence. And this event further destroyed relations between the redcoats and colonists and fueled the colonists desire for independence. Three years after this event, the Boston Tea Party happened which the colonists dumped tea in the waters. It was believed that this event had happened because of the tea tax and the Boston Massacre. In conclusion, the Boston Massacre had a big impact on the revolution because it is a well-known event and fueled the colonist's rage to be independent and caused other events to happen.

And it caused the british to appear for peace with the americans. And they signed the paris peace treaty. It ended the war that they had with the british that had been going on for over 7 years. The reason was because cornwallis was running out of supplies. They were basically forced to surrender to the americans. cornwallis surrendered over 8,000 men

The Boston tea party was a necessary event. Because they stood up and protest for the tea act. The tea act was when the king of Britain taxed tea so the british got money. The colonist were very mad because since it was their favourite drink. When the king decided to tax tea the colonist didn't want to pay the taxes and they said this is not fair. So they made a plan that they were going to dress up as native american and they waited for the boat to arrive. When the boat got their all of the 116 colonist went onto the boat. They threw the tea into the Boston harbor. They threw 342 chest full of tea which is about 90,000 pounds of tea into the boston. After that they started celebrating thinking they won thinking they king would blame it on Native americans. The king knew that it wasn't Native americans and it was the colonist. So the king punished the colonist by giving more tax to the colonist. He also punished Boston and said this is what you do for doing rebellious acts. The king doesn't know if it was planned or not but people say that samuel adams and the sons of liberty did it because they had a big town history.

my claim was that James Armistead Lafayette was a very helpful spy , and my reasons are that. He provided valuable info to the patriots about the the movements of the british troops. He would provided wrong info to the british that in not true. By being a spy he thought he could get his freedom from being a slave. We won the battle of yorktown with his crucial insider intelligence. Being a spy was dangerous because he was a spy. After the war offically concluded in 1783 Armistead was for to retrun to slavery, and that's why I think That James Lafayette was an Amazing spy.

But the point that i to get is that the british had to dumped $70,000 worth of tea. The first major act of the defiance to british rule over colonies.

I think Ben Franklin was helpful during the American Revolution. He has a big impact because he helped write the Declaration of Independence. If h didn't, it may not have gotten done. He also went to France to get their help. Without it we would have loss. He also went to the Constitutional Convention. This is why I think he was important.

George Washington was an intelligent person which led him be who he was as a person. George washington was patient, responsible and had a firm moral conscience which had drew people to him and contributed to their trust. George Washington led the colonial forces to victory over the british and was known as a national hero. Unlike many of his contemporaries in the Continental Congress, Washington never attended college or received formal education which showed that even tho he did not have a good education he was still a smart man and an independent person. George washington was self-educated and he was fearless in battle.
