My grandpa was born on November 21, 1949 in Bowie County, Texas specifically in a city called Texarkana. My grandma was born on October 24, 1953. They met in San Diego, California in 1968 my grandma was 15 at the time and my grandpa was 19. My grandpa was a U.S. army as an infantry sergeant. My grandmas family did not believe in interracial couples and told her she had to choose between them or him and she choose my grandpa, because she was under age she had to gain special permission from the court so that he could have legal guardianship over her until she turned 18.
