Chapter one

Connor had a pretty normal life. Mom and dad loved each other. (To the point where it felt like they were making out all the time) Little sister is spoiled, and big brother in the military force. It seemed normal for others. But Connor felt something was missing. Somebody was missing. Who? He had no clue. But he felt like he could see a glimpse of them every time he slept. A glimpse of a see-through white cape with yellow stars, flowing behind something. By the time he got to that something, they were gone. So one day, he went to the library to look for sleep medicine or potion recipes, whatever you wanna call it. When he arrived at the local library, he immediately got stopped by.. Ugh. Kelly. What a simp. “H-Hey Connor!! Do you want to hang out later?” “Can’t, sorry. I have to- uh..” Think of something logical..think..think.. AHA! “I have to go to the grocery store later and I have to do lots of things at home.. Uh- bye, Kelly.” He speed-walked away. Connor doesn’t like Kelly. She’s blonde, and she cakes on make-up thinking I would like it. She also thinks that Connor doesn’t know she likes him. GUH. Connor found a book about medication and potions. A.. Moon shard..? Local to… Oh! The yellowstone forest. That’s nearby. Now where can I find these suckers…

Chapter two

Connor looked at the moon shard inside of his room. It was in a jar for now. It says I need the tear of one of these things. But how do I make it cry… It looked like a ghost in cartoons. It was cute. It smiled a lot and glittered in the moonlight. When Connor tried turning on the light, it quickly turned away from the light and it began to burn the shard’s skin. He quickly turned it off and patted it on the head. It smiled. “Sorry little man. I didn’t know that would hur-” BANG! “What was that?” He heard it again. BANG! “He went outside, but there was nothing. His sweat felt cold.. Isn’t it summer..? BANG! He ran deeper into the woods, but it only took a couple of seconds and steps until he was gone. Gone meaning not on earth. He was in some sort of area that kinda looked like a domain from jujutsu kaisen. There was a woman. The strange woman gave a sense of unknown. It felt like anger mixed with tiredness. But a calm tired. She had short white hair that curled like she just woke up. The woman had a tight blue dress, hat flared at the tips. She had a veil and a cape made of the same fabric. The fabric was see-through white, with yellow stars splattered about. Just like in my dream. She had white high-heeled boots that climbed to her knees, and she had a moon charm that kept the cape on her shoulders. She looked like a #1 fangirl of the moon. I didn't realize she had a sword until she had put it on my neck faster than you could say hi. Her sword was blue on the handle mostly, and it had white stars. She then began to speak in a soft but angered tone. "Give me my son back. Now." Calypso said with a stern voice. "But I need it t-" Connor tried to retort, but was interrupted. "All you humans ever care about is yourselves. 'I need this,' 'I need that' Whine, whine, whine, whine. Where is Cosmo?"

“Okay, lady, geez! I don’t know where Cosmo is! Put the sword down, man!”

“...”

“Is Cosmo that Moon shard thingy?”

“Yes. WHERE IS HE!”

“Geez! I just needed help sleeping to catch..well. You, I guess.”

“Catch me?”

“Wait- no I meant-”

Chapter Four

After explaining, I let the woman in to look for her “Son”. Then she found it. I knew I guessed it right. It’s that stupid mind shard. Thought Connor.

Chapter Five

“Hello, Beatrice.” Is the last thing they said before running away from each other quickly. They then abruptly turned to face each other. Calypso drew her sword. It has an aurora around it. Then Beatrice pulled her sword. The handle was red with white stars, and a black blade. She murmured, ‘vále fotiá stin kardiá sou’ and her sword caught ablaze. They started moving so fast that you could barely see what they were doing. When they finally slowed down, Calypso was covered in cuts, Beatrice looked untouched. Calypso was on the ground, panting. When Calypso got up, I realized.. Beatrice was holding Calypso's left leg. Suddenly she lifted up to her mouth and bit the bloody part. Her mouth was stained with black, as Calypso's blood is black. Calypso suddenly laughed. ”Got a little cut there, I see. On your neck.” Beatrice lifted her hand to the cut. She then exploded into tiny little pieces. "Didn't realize I had stabbed and sliced you all the way through.” She then started laughing maniacally. Tears began to fall down her cheeks and she blacked out. “Girls.” Said Connor, walking out of the bush. He picked up Calypso's limp body when he heard something. It was Beatrice. “How about you come to the tower? I can take care of her.” She then pointed a slightly sliced finger at Calypso. “Let me have her.” Connor quickly turned around. "No! I won't let you touch her.” “What? Is she your girlfriend?” Connor felt his face flush. Beatrice smirked and gave a slight nod. A warm glow surrounded Calypso. She then began to levitate, as Beatrice was using telekinesis. “Beatrice. Stop. You won’t hurt her on my watch.” Beatrice smiled and waved her hand reassuringly. “Please, just call me Bea. And another thing, I wouldn’t hurt my dear sister.” SISTER? Thought connor. When they arrived at the tower, it looked like those stock images you find on the internet when you search up heaven. When they walked in, Beatrice immediately said, “Guards! Seize him!” Connor turned to the door, but realized that Beatrice was still holding Calypso. Connor couldn’t leave. Not without Calypso. He turned to Beatrice. “ Drop her.” “And why should I?” Beatrice retorted. She started to laugh, and then spoke again. “You think you can beat me?” Then a soft voice spoke. “Maybe not, but I can. It was Calypso. She got out of the warm orb Beatrice had her in, and kicked her in the face. “Ow! B-but my spell! Y-You should have stayed asleep! I..but…how..and-” Calypso cut her off. “When we were young, you always tried killing me in your sleep. I got used to it.” The guards were too busy comforting Bea, they didn’t notice Connor and Calypso leaving. “Connor, dear, let’s go.” Beatrice turned to look at Connor, her eyes on fire (Literally) “YOU IDIOTS! GET THEM!” But they were already deep in the woods. Dear…? Thought Connor. God, I'm such a simp! “Thank you.” Said Calypso. “For what?” Connor knew what she meant, but he wanted to hear her say it. “For trying to save me.” He didn’t want to hear that word. Trying.

It looked around midnight. There was a woman standing in front of Calypso. She had long, wavy yellow hair, and an orange headband with a sun on it. She had the same outfit as calypso, except everything blue on Calypso was orange or red on the woman. Her cape was the same, but the stars were suns. “Hello, Beatrice.” Is the last thing they said before running away from each other quickly. They then abruptly turned to face each other. Calypso drew her sword. It has an aurora around it. Then Beatrice pulled her sword. The handle was red with white stars, and a black blade. (Colors too) "Didn't realize I had stabbed and sliced you all the way through.” She then started laughing maniacally. And another thing, I wouldn’t hurt my dear sister. Or your girlfriend.” SISTER? Thought connor. “For the last time, she isn’t my girlfriend.”

Chapter six.

You get knocked out and wake up dead. This place is weird. Trust me.” Connor hesitated. “Wake up dead? What do you mean by that?”

“Look around and at your hands.”

Connor did, and he realized he was not around home at all. When he looked at his hands, he jumped slightly. They looked as if his skin was transparent, and his bones covered in moss and cherry blossom flowers.

Chapter eight.

They looked.. Nice. He didn’t realize he gasped, but Calypso did. “Cool, right? It’s not dead, but we call it dead.” “We?” She reached for her neck and pulled out a whistle. She blew it, and waited. The whistle sounded sweet and calming. Suddenly a couple of Moon shards floated to her. They rubbed on her like cats, and she patted each of them. There were three, not including Cosmo. “How do you name them? They look so alike.” She picked one up out of the air and showed it to Connor. She put a finger on it’s head gently. “They have different shapes on their head. They were born that way. See, this is Novalite. And this-” She picked another one up. “Is Apollo.” “Cool. Where do you guys stay?” She pointed at the moon, smiling. “You've gotta be kidding me. There’s no way-” She grabbed him by the arm and began to fly towards the moon. Her feet had an Aurora borealis around her feet, like the warm glow her sister had her in. The air was cold, and Calypso looked at him. “Hold your breath.” He did, and they flew into space. When they landed, they walked up to a small vine and moss-covered cabin. It was small. I could barely fit in it without having to crawl. “Ladies first.” Connor wasn’t being nice, he just didn’t know if this was a joke. She crawled in as fast as a snake striking. So he went for it. He got on his knees, the moon’s rock cold on his knees and hands. He crawled normally, but got sucked in like a vacuum. When his head stopped spinning and his vision wasn’t blurry, he looked around to see a place bigger than a mansion. As big as a…city! It was a city. “Let's go where I ACTUALLY live.” It was a castle. Yes you heard (Or read) me right. A castle. On the moon. In a tiny cabin. It was the size of one, too. “Welcome to my home.”
