The following are the aims of this project. 

a. To augment additional knowledge of the community regarding family planning, 

b. To help the community and families in achieving their desired number of children. 

c. To help the community determine the appropriate timing or way of spacing between pregnancy. 

Family planning is the way of individualsand couples to anticipate and attain their desired number of children and the spacing or timing of 

their births. It is achieved through the use of contraceptive methods and treatment of involuntary infertility. It is usually applied to a female - male couple who wish to limit the number of children they have. In the 

Philippines, 49 percent of unmarried, sexually active women and 17 percent of married women have an unmet need for family planning, according to a 2017 demographic and health survey. Lack of Family Planning is evident in the community. Crowded people are noticeable in every household. With a large family size comes a shortage in the distribution of foods, thus, nutrition of every family was at 

risk. By the help of this community project saves the lives of women, newborns, children, and teenage girls. It also decreases number of unplanned pregnancies and abortions. Family planning benefits families, communities and nation, enabling increased public spending per person in all sectors. 

This project will be accomplished with the help of the barangay officials, faculty, staff and the support and effort of the students. With the permission of the barangay officials, the UC student’s poster project will be posted on designated areas. The posters will provide information that 

will help the locals to learn something new that they can apply for a lifetime. The project poster presents interactive situation that evolves having a close contact to the audience, closer than when delivering a 

speech.
