In America and around the world the rejection of establishment has been evident, politicians are not honest, they do not have the peoples interest in mind, only corporations. While the trust in the system has weakened globalisation has caused ueducated people to loose their jobs, because many of them has been transferred overseas, to for example China. This has caused people in America to feel like they are hopeless, college fees are to high and you need an education to have a job, but even then it is hard to find one. Trump presented the ideal and hope that america needed, in a way he became anti-establishment and he was not a phoney politician. By many he was preseived as honest even though he has lied countless times. But the people needed someone to address their problems, and make simple solutions.

Of course when they wrote it, they meant only white people, but it have later on been adjusted to everyone. The roots of the American Dream, weren't specific about how you shall achieve the dream, but more open minded. It was later on, that people thought materialisme would be the key to the american dream, but a pursuit of happiness through objects, only led to greed and caused the great depression. In the modern age politicians would try and adjust the american according to the new living standards, but always seem to fail or misunderstand the dreams purpose.   • Because Trump puts himself in opposition to everyone else, and points out all the flaws
  • Because they don’t trust their politicians (anti-establishment) → they always do something bad, and now they think Trump will make up for all of that, even went against his own party
  • The white working class does not identify themselves with the leftist, because they advocate a policy that benefit themselves.

The reason you cannot use it anymore is because president after president have used it for their own personal campaign, and therefore MAGA has a lot of different meanings today, which kind of destroys the real reason make America great again was made by the Founders. And that's the problem. Half of the people identifies with patriotism, a united closed community. The other part stands for the opportunity for equality, and so on. USA is in a crisis, and it's bigger than we may think. The sense of identity is gone, and the whole core is missing. America does not need to revoloutionize their country, but they need to reunite. They need to find common ground. They need to look at the bigger picture, even what side you might stand on. This is hard to grasp. The country is not broken, but Trump makes it look so.
