         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. It is also celebrated in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. It is celebrated for fifteen days and is the most awaited event. The last day of the celebration is called the lantern festival.<br>2. In the Chinese culture red is a symbolic colour which means good luck and to make the bad spirits run away it is the chosen colour. That's why people wear red, red envelopes which the parents give money in for their children and even lanterns that decorate the house. People clean their house and busniess.<br>3. There are some symbolic choices of food for:<br>Fish - sucsess<br>Dumplings - wealth<br>Spring rolls - wealth<br>Tang yuan (sweet rice balls) - Unity among each other.<br>Good fortune fruit - wealth and fullness<br>Niango (Rice Cake) - a promotion<br>Longevity Noodles - happines and a long life<br>Some families can have some little meals but rich families might have 8 or even 9!<br>4. Schools and Universities have a holiday for one month and some workers get atleast 1 week of holiday.Last year in the new year week they spent around $47 billion.<br>5. Every year there is a symbolic animal with a symbolic element this year its the earth dog. Every 12 years the same animal is repeated.<br>6. New year is to remember the good moments of the past year and then welcome the next with great joy and to quit all bad habits and to stay healthy.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The Chinese new year had begun on the 16th of <mark>February</mark> and is still going  on for 15 days. It is one of the longest festivals in China. Chinese New Year is also celebrated in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam.<br><br>2. Before the Chinese new year starts everyone tidies up their homes so that they have room for good luck/good fortune. Everything is most likely to be red since red is the colour that gives you good luck and gets rid of evil spirits.  Kids get a holiday from school, and get to celebrate with many things including fireworks.<br><br>3. (Image)<br>During the Chinese New Year there are particular foods that grant them different things:<br><br>Fish - Higher Prosperity (Peace)<br><br>Dumplings and Springrolls - Wealth (Money)<br><br>Tang yuan (Some sort of Rice Balls) - Keeping their family together<br><br>Good fortune fruit  - wealth (Money) and fullness.<br><br>Niagao (Glutinous Rice Cake) - Gives you a higher income/higher position.<br><br>Longevity Noodles - Happiness and Longevity as said in it's name.<br><br>4. Food plays a big part in the Chinese new year. They have different symbols and meanings.  For example; The dumplings look like silver ingots which represents wealth/money. The dumplings are very popular during the lantern festival. Also in the food subject, you will never get 4 kinds of food on one dish since 4 is believed to be the unlucky number. In Cantonese,  the number 4 sounds like death.<br><br>5. Many people gain a holiday up-to a month during the Chinese New Year. Experts think that the Chinese go on over 3 billion trips Chunyun travel period. In 2017, during New Year Week they spent over $47 billion US dollars. <br><br>6. Every Chinese year has one of 12 animals as its name. This year (2018) is an earth dog. These animals make up the Chinese zodiac. They also add one of the 5 elements which are; metal, water, wood, fire or earth. People also make horoscopes or character traits for those who are born in that specific year of that animal. <br><br>7.
