         <description><![CDATA[<div>nuclear energy is a good alternative<br><br>1. efficient bc only 1 neutron hitting the radioactive elements can lead to chain reaction so little energy is used to power nuclear reactors<br><br>2. it should not affect residents if managed properly (ie A good site of nuclear power station that is far away from residential areas, radioactive waste is dumped properly)<br>Limitation: Therefore it should be a good choice for more developed countries<br><br>3. fossil fuels are going to be used up one day anyways + renewable energy is not properly developed at the moment-&gt; you need support frm nuclear<br><br>4. nuclear waste is cleaner than fossil fuels bc no air pollution (unlike fossil fuels which release stuff in the atmosphere leading to air pollution)<br><br></div>]]></description>

On top of this, when the power plants first have been built, we are left with the costs to enrich and process the nuclear fuel (e.g. uranium), control and get rid of nuclear waste, as well as the maintenance of the plant.  The reason this is under advantages is that nuclear energy is cost-competitive. The common method is to make use of the uranium-235 isotope in nuclear fission, where it is fused with plutonium to generate heat. A more effective way is to utilize thorium, but the method is not fully developed. <br>Radioactive waste is also not a serious issue. Water is a very good insulator of radiation. It is so good that you can swim on top of a swimming pool where there is radioactive waste at the bottom. Accidents can be minimized with attention to detail.</div>]]></description>

Fossil fuels are <mark>unevenly distributed,</mark> hence many countries which have insufficient fossil fuel resources will easily be controlled by other nations which are rich in oil.<br>Therefore, when the energy supply cannot reach its demand, nuclear power is needed to solve the current energy crisis. <br><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
