         <description><![CDATA[<div>I suppose I would describe information systems as being databases, essentially. To break it down, and possibly make it a little easier to understand, I would say that their contacts list on their phones would be an information system, or database,  the contacts list on a phone requires that the information be entered, name, phone number, email address and so on, in to their phone and saved to the device.<br>The phone's contact list would possibly be the easiest way I can immediately think of to describe an Information System to my family and friends, well those who wouldn't QUITE get it, anyway..</div>]]></description>
