The hard work had been worth it for Mona because she had gotten her dream job. Frank used PCP, weed, and heroin and this led him into a violent state each time he took them but he could never stop, and Mona realized what he was doing and states, "The dope was likely soaked in PCP... ." Frank was using drugs and even combining them so this was a form of drug abuse, and Frank was addicted.
