One day in March I had a sudden urge to go to the orphanage and so my dad, brother and I decided to go (it was a bit far, so it took a couple of hours). The experience was incredible, it made both me and my brother reflect on how our lives were different from the children in the orphanage. He and I both donated quite bit of money that we had been saving up (to buy things for ourselves). I personally don't remember ever being heroic in some bold, daring way. For me, being the reason for someone else's smile is just as satisfactory. If you ask me to describe such an incident, I don't think I would have a specific story to tell. But I do remember my classmates who thanked me for making them laugh, for listening to them when they needed to vent and just having their back. So, my journey towards being a hero started when i started valuing people over my less important tasks and preexisting opinions/prejudices. I remember going back up the stairs to  help a old man down the stairs who was looked like he needed help.  So I think that my journey to become a hero started when I started to observe my surroundings and try to help those who needed it like the old man I once met.
