         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Izard theory- 10 basic emotions, cross- cultural, present in infancy, all other emotions are a combinations of the original 10.6 basic are joy, anger, disgust, surprise, sadness, and fear<br>-Ekman's theory- facial muscles are used to indicate emotion and are universal<br>Cues of a genuine smile: studies by Duchene<br>   -Closed eyes<br>   -crows feet<br>   - lower teeth covered by lips<br>Standard smile:<br>   -Eyes open<br>   -less crowed feet<br>- Yerkes Dodsen theory- optimum stress necesssary for optimum performance: too much stress- bad, too little- bad, right amount- positive/ optimal performance<br>-Learned motives: form of social motives but learned through modeling. Agression and achievement is learned <br>-Stimulus motives: unlearned and encourages exploration of the world<br>- Benefits of smiling: makes you seem more attractive and successful, lowers the age at which you look, lower stress, stronger immune system <br>-Forced smiling- reduced heart rates and controls stress<br>- </div>]]></description>
