I have to challenge this because killing an unborn child is not the equivalent of killing one another. An unborn child, especially in the earlier terms, is not as conscious or even sentient, compared to someone who is born. 

Banning abortion is not going to stop abortions. When abortion is illegal, it is often done in unsafe conditions and that puts the mother at risk.
