         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is disturbing that such language was used back then and that it was socially accepted to have media coverage that used this racist language when talking about drugs. I think this language reinforces serotypes that still exist today surrounding substances use and race. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I agree with the author that articles like this one published by New York Times, exaggerated the association of crimes and cocaine use with blacks, I sadly still thinks this happens in our media today and leads to racial discriminations with our jail system as well. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Like we have discussed in class before, I don't think adding more policy's that result in punishment or trying to eliminate the drug completely are going to work. We must change our incarceration and rehabilitation system if we want to see any change with drug use. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I did not know that one in three black males born today will spend time in prison with the way our country is set up. I knew our prion systems were messed up but this statistic is really alarming and scary to think about. Why has our prison system not changed after all these years, why is there still racial discrimination? </div>]]></description>
