Look at the sky, look at how blue,

Look at the life, the real dream come true.

But now that she’s gone, this life tastes bitter

Why is she gone? Why can’t we go with her?

She’s gone from this life, left behind many faces,

To see ones she’s lost and bless them with her graces

Her smile we see when we can’t fall asleep,

Her kindness remembered, her lessons we keep

Look at the sky, look at how blue,

Look at the life, the real dream come true.

But now that she’s gone, this life seems grayer,

We wish she was here, we wish to repay her

For all that she’s done for the people she loved

Lending a hand or a shoulder, a hug.

So many people were touched by her light,

So many people in awe of her might.

Look at the sky, look at how blue,

Look at the life, the real dream come true.

So though we may feel broken or hurt, even livid,

Remember her love for us had no limits.

Just know that she’s waiting, wherever she stands,

Her arms spread wide open, food plated in hand.

So look at the life, guys, cause her dream is ours too

The dream that she dreamt us, the dream that came true

By Isa González
