We had many things in common, but to sum it up youth work has helped us build confidence and communication skills. We would also want to be the people who stop bullying so youngsters would feel more safe and comfortable.

Each of our answers I feel had their own biggest theme: First youth work made gathering and sharing information more meaningful, which makes the youth to be more open and considerate. Second experiences with different personalities and ages have helped to take more responsibility and built an understanding of youth. Third having a good connection with the youth will make the youth want to work with you and improve themselves while hopefully taking a positive example from you.

All of these can be related by how each of these can happen in any environment.

How youth work influenced my life:
Youth work has had a big impact on my life by helping me build confidence, meet people from different backgrounds, and learn to work in teams. It taught me the importance of listening, empathy, and creating safe spaces for others.

How this shapes me as a future youth worker:
These experiences inspire me to support young people in discovering their strengths, feeling valued, and growing in a positive environment. I want to create inclusive and welcoming spaces where every young person can feel understood and empowered.

We share a common goal of creating safe and supportive spaces where young people feel accepted and valued. Through youth work, we’ve learned the importance of empathy, genuine care, and truly listening to others. Each of us has experienced personal growth and wants to help young people do the same. Together, we believe that kindness, authenticity, and continuous learning are essential in making a positive impact on youth.
