Reya~

The way this book changed me is something that I felt I had always been doing, but in reality, had been doing it very inconsistently. So I feel like we should always be considerate of someone's feelings, because we never know what someone is going through. I also think that we should appreciate our parents and friends more because: 1)Our parents work so hard to give us the social life and personal life that we have today 2) Our true friends are always there to help us no matter how we treat them or how we react to a topinc, etc..

Aradhana

My view about people changed, I realised that some people find it hard to express their emotions. Sometimes we don't know what others are facing. Sometimes I have learnt to accept the fact that it is not wrong to have strong opinions that are other than societal beliefs.

The world is filled with obstacles, and we must face them. Life isn't like life when there are no challenges to face.

I have learnt that for everyone, their problems will always seem the biggest. But we must never ever think that others don't face problems, which is the mistake that Mahendra sir did.

What remains the same for me is that societal beliefs and stereotyping still stick around the world.

But like I said, Strong opinions are not wrong.

Regards, Aradhana.

Sathvik: Under the Bakul Tree impacted my way of viewing people and the world by showing never to judge people by their surroundings that is what changed my views. Something that didn't change my view is Nirmals and Ashims friendship. Friendships like that are hard to find but that type of friendship can be found but their competition is unmatched.

After reading this book what I felt was that.

You never know what a person is going through so we have to be kind to everyone.

Anubhav sir made a lot good changes. He himself has faced hardships and it's about how he chooses to react. Where negativity is spread, you don't have to join along the path everyone is going. That is, to be negative. We should should spread positivity and look at things from a better way.

At first I wasn't sure about this book when I read it. It was confusing but I kept reading it and I was so surprised by how realistic it was.

And what I hated the most was when majendra sir was really harsh with students, he was the reason Ramen and Ashim dropped out of school.

Mahadhiya.

'Under the Bakul Tree' impacted me in the following ways:

I am very competitive as a person. I also possess an unquenchable thirst to prove myself. Reading about how Nirmal Front up confessed that he did not deserve the first place really softened my competitive nerves. I thought about how tough it would have been for me to admit the same in nirmal's position.

Ashim had grit to spare, like all resilient leaders, he worked hard to achieve what he wanted. His intellectual capability to solve complex math problems really spoke about how many people stereotype that people with bad environment/parents pick up the same habits

It was inspiring. An emotional roller coaster. How embracing change, being malleable, living gently and working hard are the key ways to live our lives.

~Advika
