I agree with this comment because most of the students in our class have encountered this type of behavior inside school. I do not think there is an actual solution to completely get rid of this behavior but many children are racist without even knowing it. So we could inform students/make an advisory lesson explaining casual racism (wishing to be a certain race, mocking an accent, etc.)

I believe that the teachers can show more educational videos about bullying or solutions for bullying. This can make the bullies guilty or make the victims understand how they should act when the bullies start insulting them. 

Teachers can also tell every students that they are not alone and they have someone they can talk to. Teachers should let everyone know that it is not okay to keep it to yourself when something negative happens.

In addition to prevent the situation from happening we have to keep some comments for ourselves, and remind other to do so too. MAybe if your friends is talking about someone behind their back you can prevent that by telling them to not say it to them and ask them to stop talking bad about people.

I would just stand up for them and tell them how unpleasant they are to the person that is betting bullied. A really good suggestion is to go to the school counselor (last time in the first few weeks of school, I was bullied for my looks and they made jokes about me. I couldn't control my emotions at advisory and started crying. I went to the school counselor and after that, I felt 10x better.) If you are not so comfortable talking to the counselor, then I recommend telling your parents or someone you trust.
