         <description><![CDATA[<div>Booker T. Washington was an american educator, author, orator, and advisor to presidents of the united states. Between 1890 and 1915 he was the dominant leader of the african-american community. He was the last generation of the black american leaders born into slavery. He was also a key proponent of african-american businesses and one of the founders of the national negro business league. Washington gave a speech known as “ Atlanta Compromise “ due to the lynching going on, after the speech it brought him fame. Washington mastered the nuances of the political arena in the late 19th century, which enabled him to manipulate the media, raise money, develop strategy and etc while punishing those who opposed his plans for uplifting blacks.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Sinclair was born with dichotomies but that didn't stop him, he was a very smart person and loved to read. Although he was born in poverty, he also experienced the wealthy lifestyle with his Mom's side.&nbsp;Although he was an activist he , his book "The Jungle" wasn't meant to bring change at first, just as a project for school.</div>]]></description>
