1. According to Source D, the parenting style of Hitler’s father is strict because Alois demanded absolute obedience which Hitler has to follow his exacting rules or else he will be hit. His father also put high expectations on him asking him to be a civil servant like himself. On the other hand, referring to Source E, Klara cares about Hitler’s feelings a lot, she won’t demand him to do things for her but doing all his cooking and cleaning for him, She also support Hitler’s dream and let him make life decisions on his own. To make it simple, the main difference between them is the amount of control they put over Hitler.

2. The fact that Hitler is treated this way is because he didn’t meet his father’s expectations which resulted in unwell treating and from that he have learnt the cruel and heartless rules from his father. If Hitler has a better relationship with his parents, his father would treat him in a more generous way and Hitler will not learn the ruthlessness which prevented him to be a totalitarian leader.

1. Hitler would be so upset by surrendering of Germany. It’s because according to source H,he believed that the German army had been betrayed by civilian leaders and Marxists, which he thought the Germany government betrayed Germany. Also,He found the Treaty of Versailles degrading, particularly the demilitarization of the Rhineland and the stipulation that Germany accept responsibility for starting the war.It means that he think that the treaty was unfair to Germany. As a small summary,he felt upset due to betrayed of the government and the unfairness of the treaty of Versailles.According to source I,when he monitored the activities of German Workers’ Party due to his work in army,he adopted the ideas of DAP (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei)founder. He also soon gained notoriety for his spiteful speeches against the Treaty of Versailles, rival politicians, Marxists and Jews. It shows the mistrust and hatred of Hitler towards the Germany government due to the betrayed.

2. I agree .According to source H ,Hitler became embittered over the collapse of the war effort. The experience reinforced his passionate German patriotism. In source I ,Hitler adopted many of the
anti-Semitic, nationalist and anti-Marxist ideas of DAP(Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) founder Anton Drexler. So that i agree that the First World War has built Hitler’s nationalistic feelings as a German.

1) According to Source D, it mentioned “Alois Hitler was a strict father who ‘demanded absolute obedience’ and freely hit his children.” Therefore, we can see that Hitler’s father was a violent and strict father who hit his kids freely. Furthermore, Hitler’s father supported Austria and was obsessed with it. Meanwhile, Hitler supported Germany and severe conflicts rose between them. Hitler’s father treated Hitler even more violently and poorly which may have influenced him and resulting in the violent and extreme totalitarianism monarchy. To conclude, Hitler’s father’s parenting style is strict and violent that he hit his children freely.
According to Source E, because Hitler’s mother first three children died, therefore she spoiled Hitler badly. It mentioned “Klara doted on the young boy, doing all of his cooking and cleaning for him…” and “She obliged when he wanted to drop out of school at the age of 16 and bought him a grand piano to encourage his dream of becoming a famous artist and musician.” Thus, we can see that Hitler’s mother tried her best to give everything Hitler wanted ani matter what she would need to face. To conclude, Hitler’s mother parenting style is soft and full of tenderness.
The main difference is the way how they treated Hitler. Hitler’s father hit Hitler whenever he want and let of all his emotions on Hitler. He also restricted Hitler to chase his dreams and forced him to be a civil servant just like him. Meanwhile, Hitler’s mother spoiled him. She gave him everything he want and even bought a grand piano to encourage him to chase his dreams.

2) I believe he would he be less cruel and ruthless in the future that prevented him to be a totalitarian leader if Hitler had a better relationship with his parents. If the relationship between him and his dad was better, and that his dad didn’t treat him violently, he may not have been that ruthless and extreme. Subsequently, Hitler supported Germany when his father supported Austria obsessively just to rebel his father.
Furthermore, Hitler had a sweet relationship between him and his brother. Their neighbours reported strange acts of Hitler after his brother’s death. His brother’s death was the turning point of his life. Hitler started being ruthless and even bad after his brother’s death. If he had a good relationship with his dad, his dad may have comforted him, resulting in a fruitful and wonder life of Hitler instead of being cruel and ruthless in the future.
Therefore, I believe he would he be less cruel and ruthless in the future that prevented him to be a totalitarian leader if Hitler had a better relationship with his parents.

1. According to source H, Hitler believed that the German army had been betrayed by civilian leaders and Marxists at the time. This shows that Hitler believes that Germany didn't lose the war on the battlefield, but instead they were betrayed by the above-mentioned civilians leaders and Marxists who advocated strikes and caused social unrest back at home.

Also according to source I, Hitler gained notoriety in the German Workers' Party for his spiteful speech against the Treaty of Versailles, rival politicians, Marxists and the Jews. This shows that Hitler was upset the Treaty of Versailles and the individuals above, which all play a role in the defeat and surrender of Germany. Therefore, he was upset by the surrendering of Germany.

______________________

2.

1. Hitler has a bad relationship with his father. According to source D, Hitler’s father demanded absolute obedience and freely hit his children. It shows that he is very strict and exacting. Also, He had insisted Adolfo become a civil servant like himself. It shows that he is domineering. Hitler has a good relationship with his mother.According to Source E, hitler do all of his cooking and cleaning with his mother and his mother even bought him a grad piano to encourage his dream of becoming a famous artist and musician. It shows that his mother is being nice and supportive to him. Therefore, Hitler’s father is strict and domineering to hitler but his mother is kind and supportive to his dream.
2. If Hitler had a better relationship with his parents, he would be less cruel and ruthless in the future that prevented him to be a totalitarian leader. Hitler’s father was being described as someone who could be very heartless ,very strict and a most unapproachable person. Kids will usually learn their action from their parents, so this can explain why Hitler became cruel and ruthless in the future. Also Hitler’s father had high expectations with him and said stern words to him but Hitler just want to do what he wants, his father doesn’t have a chance to teach him what is generous , so I believe that if Hitler had a better relationship with his parents, he would be less cruel and ruthless.

1.Hitler was a nationalist who strongly identifies with his own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations. According to source H ,Hitler became embittered over the collapse of the war effort. The experience reinforced his passionate. Also , he believed that German army had been betrayed by civilian leader and Marxists. He found the Treaty of Versailles degrading, particularly the demilitarisation of Rhineland and the stipulation that Germany accept responsibility for starting the war . As Germany surrendered , Hitler cannot help his nation to fight for glory and he think that the Treaty of Versailles is unfair however he cannot abolish the Treaty of Versailles Hence , hitler would be upset.

2.‘The First World War has built Hitler’s nationalistic feelings as a German.’ I agree with this statement . According to source I , While monitoring the activities of the German Workers’ Party (DAP), Hitler adopted many of the anti-Semitic, nationalist and anti-Marxist ideas of DAP founder Anton Drexler. The above descriptions shows that Hitler”s nationalistic feelings as a German slowly increase and was built during the First World War that he would like to fight for his country and would like to help the country improve .

Also according to source H .At the out break of World War I, Hitler applied to serve in German army.

According to Source D,Hitler’s father was strict to Hitler and needed him to listen to his command . His father wanted him to become a civil servant like him,but Hitler wanted to be an artist. Because of his father’s harsh let Hitler wanted to disobey his father which shows that Hiltler and his father was having a bad relationship. He started to support German after he failed to become an artist. He bad childhood that his dad brought him led to him deciding to become a totalitarian leader. The bad relationship between them makes Hilter become a totalitarian leader.

According to Source E, Hitler was the center of his mother, Klara’s world so she treated Hitler very well such as doing all of his cooking and cleaning for him indulging his every whim.

1. According to source H, Hitler served in the German army in WWI. Hitler was present at a number of significant battles and was wounded at the Somme. Decorated for bravery, he was awarded the Iron Cross First aclass and the Black Wound Badge. The war reinforced his passionate German partriotism, when suddenly Germany announced they surrendered in 1918, he felt that he betrayed the German civilians and Marxists. Since he’s a patriot of his own country, he would definitely feel upset that Germany lost and surrendered in the war. According to source I, after WII, Hitler returned to Munich and monitored the activities of the German Workers’ Party and adopted many anti-Semitic, nationalist and anti-Marxist ideas. Hitler reformed the DAP by designing the party banner which features a swastika. He soon became notorious for his speeches aginst rival politicans and Jews e.t.c.. This tells us that Hitler was really upset of Germany’s defeat in WWI and sought revenge.

2. I agree. According to source H, it says that the experience of WWI reinforced Hitler’s passionate German patriotism. He found the Treaty of Versailles degrading, especially the demilitarization of the Rhineland and the stipulation that Germany accept sole responsibility for starting the war, Hitler wanted to revolt against these treaties and policies as it begins to build up nationalistic feelings for him. And according to source I, Hitler was monitorting the acrivities of the DAP and adopted many of the anti-Semitic, nationalist and anti-Marxist ideas of the DAP founder Anton Drexler. This tells us that he’s loyal to his own country and he’s trying to devote himself to the country.

1.Hitler was so upset by the surrendering of Germany.

According to Source H,at the outbreak of World War I, Hitler applied to serve in the German army.He was accepted in August 1914, even though he was an Austrian citizen. It also mentioned that he spent much of his time away from the front lines, that Hitler was present at a number of significant battles and was given badges. This causes him to be embittered over the collapse of the war.He was an Austrian until Germany accepted him, that makes him grateful and have the feeling that he belongs to Germany. Also,he had been fighting for Germany this whole time, but now Germany surrendered and takes the sole responsibility mentioned in the treaty of Versailles, which is totally unfair, this will bring the sadness to Hitler.

According to Source I,Hitler later created NSDAP and gained notoriety for his spiteful speeches against the Treaty of Versailles, rival politicians, Marxists and Jews. This shows that he have a negative attitude toward the Treaty of Versailles as mentioned of the demilitarised of Rhineland and sole responsibility taken by Germany. So this negative attitude also shows that he is upset of the government of Germany so he decided to build up his own and fight for Germany.

2.’The First World War has built Hitler’s nationalistic feelings as a German.’ I totally agree with this statement.

According to source H, Hitler applied to serve in the German army.

According to source F, Hitler work as an artist in Vienna, but he then ran out of money and was homeless. He start to sell his paintings. This may let him learn how to spread the idea of Nazism during WWll, by propaganda, since it’s almost the same as selling painting. According to source G, Hitler was influenced by the German racist nationalism and antisemitism which have the idea of anti-Jewish. He then hated cosmopolitanism and multinational character when he was in Vienna. This lately led to one of his idea in nazism and the rise of Hitler. At the same time when he was in Vienna, he was a great speaker and he made effective propagandas to gain his reputation in Germany and Vienna. He also studied Lueger which he behaved later during the outbreak of WWll. The above evidences show Hitler’s life in Vienna is the life changing factor of Hitler.
