I got to understand how immigration changed with different presidents in charge. For this project it was a bit difficult to find the information in between the given time periods or comments of the presidents themselves on immigration, comments that were actually impactful. The more recent comments and events were easier to find than the older ones, which in turn were harder to research. I believe immigration was an important topic then and now, and that it has been steadily becoming more strict. We need to do something addressing illegal immigration,  there’s too many people running from persecution that we could help, people wanting to work here, and people just wanting a better life. “The land flourished because it was fed from so many sources–because it was nourished by so many cultures and traditions and peoples.”(Lyndon B.
