Environmental: Events create A TON of waste. Especially music festivals. Often in large crowds, attendees cannot toss their drinks or trash into garbage or recycling bins and end up tossing them on the ground. At the end of the night the grounds will be completely littered with trash. Those that clean the events most likely do not try to divide the trash into recycling and garbage and toss it all in one place. This is terrible for the environment and is an issue that needs to be fixed.

Social: Events can negatively impact social responsibility as event planners often try to cut costs. They may outsource cheap products for swag bags or giveaways from unethical places around the world in order to save money for the rest of the event. This will negatively impact those living in dire conditions and getting paid very minimally for their work.

Economic: Events can positively affect the local economy by providing service to local vendors, caterers, venues, etc. of that specific location. Especially if there are large amounts of attendees. This can drive major business to smaller companies and help the local economy immensely.

Environmental:As indicated by the RAC, 2018 has seen the greatest month to month increment in the cost of fuel since 2000. This can be seen largy affecting the expense of movement, in especially air travel, as organizations are currently expecting to build their ticket costs to take care of expenses. Long stretch flights are one of the significant ticket costs at present expanding because of the ascent on Air Passenger Duty (APD) charge. Countless specialists travel on long stretch trips to go to occasions, for example, public exhibitions and meetings. An expansion in movement expenses could affect occasions, for example, these, as it might dishearten individuals from movement to them.

Events have both direct and indirect links with the environment. Impacts on the environment: air quality, geological influences, water quality, natural resource degradation, flora and fauna
Social impacts - Human Rights – Due to the visibility of global events in the national and international media, they that have the potential to affect the human rights of populations in affected areas and beyond. Looking back over time, there are cases where big incidents were landmarks in shifting public attitudes, and eventually the people' legal rights. Public Engagement – Large-scale events can generate much wider interest among local residents than mere ticket holders. Through a programme of public activities and media engagements, event organisers, public authorities or event sponsors can stimulate interest and goodwill in building up to an event. In addition to sporting activities, examples include trophy trips, torch relays, and cultural festivals.
Economic Impact: Infrastructure – Long-term economic effects may benefit from spending on new or forward-looking infrastructure such as new venues or transportation improvements for large events.

Impact of Events - Lais Tribst To achieve ISO 20121, an organization needs to demonstrate that it includes in its management system all the key issues: financial, economic, social and environmental relevant to your operations. Within this objective it was noted that there are several ways to reduce environmental impacts on events with actions like: replanting trees to neutralize carbon, separation and correct destination of the waste generated by the event, encouraging the use of public transport, areas exclusive for smokers. These attempts to reduce the environmental impact are seen by the market as a positive, attractive investors and public awareness.

Impacts of holding a meeting or event: Environmental: In this case I think that air pollution and waste that remains after the event could potentially affect to current situations that we have witnessed all over the world, such as, fires, deterioration of the ozone layer, climatic changes and other natural catastrophes. Social: Specially during this COVID times is more visible the social impact that has hit us for being isolated. All human beings need to socialize and stablish relations with others, and events are the central point to make that possible. Economic: That's a determinant aspect to consider as part of any event, big or small. And it should be considered in advance with a budget and the awareness of what kind of audience will get involved , more precisely their demographics to determine the economic-social component and profit.

Environmentally, I immediately think of the amount of littering that must occur especially during outdoor events. Pollution, both air and noise. A perfect example of how negative an event could be would be the California fires that were started by a firework(i think) at a gender reveal party. Now half of California has been on fire for weeks which is so unfortunate and could have easily been avoided.
Social impacts can be viewed as more positive. Minds coming together to share a similar interest or participate in a common goal is usually for the greater good. This can include conventions for example that can be held to better our future.
Lastly, economically can usually hold more of a positive outlook as well. For example events that generate fundraisers for different causes can make a huge impact on many lives. However failed events can also have negative impacts when they fall into a deficit from poor planning or poor turn out.

Environmental: Depending where the meeting/event is held. If it's at another venue or an office location, you have to include travel. With travel comes using a vehicle which can be damaging to the environment. You have to also put into account that guests/attendees will possibly want to purchase items such as food or drinks. That can result in littering. Social: Social impacts can be positive. You're able to talk to people and discuss the type of negative impacts on the environment and how to improve them or make a meeting/event more environmentally friendly. Economic: With Covid, economically everyone has suffered. To find ways and brainstorm ideas on how to make events and meetings more money friendly and adaptable to today's times is extremely important.

More reliance on QR codes and online ticketing platforms have helped.
Social: Larger events definitely have a bigger impact on a social scale. One commonly used venue for large events is Downsview Park, located in a mixed residential/small industrial area in the northwest of the city; large events held there include the SARS recovery concert, and World Youth Day 2002. These events cause significant disruption for local residents-whose presence is felt for months after.
Economic: There is no question the effect that a strong event has on an economy. To refer back to SARS relief, at a time that people were scared to come to Toronto after SARS, which helped restart Torontos tourism.

Environmental Impact:
The general waste from events and meeting is often overlooked as waste. These things include Flyers, Paper Meeting Notes and Promotional Material used to promote events. Food waste is also another large way in which events form environmental waste. Many facilities may have small compost programs, but waste such as buffets and large portions account for much of the food that is typically thrown away. Pollution is another concern, especially in the context of large events. For example a Formula 1 event would produce extreme amounts of gas pollution between the race cars as well as spectator vehicles.

Social Impact:
I feel as if events and large meetings have more of a benefit to the social impact of a community. The point of events is to bring like minded people together, and can be aimed to bring awareness to different causes or charities. Overall events usually boost the morale of the people who attend.

Economic Impact:
There are many economic benefits to hosting an event or meeting, including a boost in tourism and increased spending at local business, restaurants and hotels. It also has some points that any good planner needs to consider, such as the strain a meeting or event can put on emergency services, hospitals as well as public transportation.
