They may outsource cheap products for swag bags or giveaways from unethical places around the world in order to save money for the rest of the event. This will negatively impact those living in dire conditions and getting paid very minimally for their work. 

Economic: Events can positively affect the local economy by providing service to local vendors, caterers, venues, etc. of that specific location. Especially if there are large amounts of attendees.
