Young criminals can be reformed they shouldn't be serving sentences in adult prisons when they are not adults instead we should be trying to reform them and turn their life away from crime. Cases such as Hernan Carvente show that people can change. These under age criminals can change and make something good with their lives. If we just teach and mentor these people their lives can become better. Joshua Neary

Young criminals can be reformed because they are young and still have a few years to change their life around. They should be put in a rehab program to hopefully change their mind and how they act. Being put into a rehab program actually gives them a chance to change .Unlike an adult prison/jail they will just server the time and hopefully be a changed person when they are released. But in rehab they have a much higher chance of becoming a changed person and move on in there life.

Juveniles are all different and need different punishments. Some kids can't learn their lesson simply by rehab or community service and need harsher punishment. Some will learn simply by service or rehab because they realize that this is the consequence they will get and if they don't stop then it will get worse. Some kids don't care, so they will get the harsher punishments. Nobody can understand what goes on in every kid's head so judging what punishment is hard to give. And it's hard to determine if they will reform as everyone's different. -Kayleigh

The kid can learn from his mistake and when he or she is released, they can make sure that they won't make the same mistake again if he or she chooses so.

Yes I believe that young criminals can be reformed. Their decisions are rash and aren't thought through. Solitary confinement has been proven to be worse for a criminal than normal jail time. The quietness of the room, and the loneliness all damage the convicts mind. This isn't good for a young person's mind. It damages their ability to think and act in social situations. The person also needs to desire to change. If they truly believe that what they did was wrong, and they want truly want to be forgiven, then they should be helped in changing.

yes i believe that young criminals acan reformed. children are underdeveloped and often don't think through their actions and the lasting consequences. a child will do something they think is cool and interesting just because they're friends are doing it without a second thought. when a child does a serious crime there is often very little planning or forethought they just do it. punishing a child for something they barely understand and probably didn't think through is ludacris. then there is the matter of children who are being raised in homes where they often witness this type of behavior. these children watch the adults and influencers around them engaging in criminal behavior and then like all children follow suit. to blame these children solely for their actions would be taking the accountability from their parent and/or guardian responsible for raising and teaching them. is it fair to blame a child who has only known crime for committing one? i do believe however that a child who has committed a particularly harsh crime should be incarcerated in a mental health institution rather than an adult reformatory institutions. children who commit particularly violent and deadly crimes should be deemed dangerous and need mental help not punishment.

Children, and anybody in general can be reformed. Children are especially easier to become reformed because they haven't experienced as much things that would turn them rigid. It's all about choice.
