  • The consequences of the famine was that many people were starved to death from the young to to old.

  • There wasn't enough food to feed and a whole family.

  • Since many children were not able to eat as much they started to have have vision problems.

  • Many people were fighting for food

Because of that farmers couldn't buy the necessary things, such as tools, fertilizer, seeds, etc. 

    Another reason the famine occurred was because of natural disasters that struck such as typhoons.
