Genetic Pool: The Mexican gray wolf is an endangered species with very few wolves left in its population. This creates a genetic pool problem, with there only being 2 small groups, one found in the U.S. and one found in Mexico. It is best to have these 2 groups eventually breed to help with the repopulation efforts. A wolf named M1425 once was able to cross the Mexican-American border, however now with the border wall it can't. This means that the 2 groups will experience very little genetic diversity if nothing is done, especially M1425's group which only has 30 members. If there is no genetic diversity genetic disorders will occur with more susceptibility to diseases.
