May we continue to walk together in faith, hope and love. The WSCF has added so much to so many lives. May it continue to be strong and dynamic, walking with Jesus with all who are marginalised and heavy-laden, bringing fresh insights to church and community.
I have been staff and Chair of the Australian Student Christian Movement and Vice-Chair and Chair of the WSCF Asia-Pacific and continue to try to support both, as well as the Constitutional Commission of the WSCF.
In Sydney I work as a barrister and am active in my local Anglican church and the NSW Ecumenical Council.
In Australia it would be the 136th anniversary of the ASCM this year, as John R Mott travelled to Australia in 1896 and the Australasian (Aust and NZ/Aoteoroa) Student Christian Movement began.

At that time the Berlin wall was still up. Even though the Berlin wall is no longer up there are still a lot that divide us but as the late MP Jo Cox once said

"We Are Far More United Than The Things That Divide Us". I hope that we can share in that unity while celebrating our differences that make this organisation so wonderful.

Ecumenical Greetings! Indeed, staying and working missions together
for over 12 decades leaves me with nothing more to say than, “It Got To Be God”.
We testify to the goodness of God for these 127 years as WSCF family. And all that we have come to learn and give through the WSCF. To how many have come to Christ and have experience the goodness of God. His Mercies are indeed new every morning. And God’s Grace according to 2 Corinthians 12:9 --- But He said to me (Us), “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I (we) will boast all the more gladly about my (our) weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me (us). (NIV)
As we observe this 37^th GA, may we remember in our hearts and actions that as in Psalm 100:5 — the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Here to it, Galatians 5:22 -23 - The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Ecumenical work is super important.
To meet and greet. We have so much to learn from each other, and even more important: we have so many relationships to live out.
We are all children of God, and as such we live out our God given relationships as a confirming of our faith. In a similar way as we do rituals in church that mirrors and confirms our faith.

In Matthew 7:12, our Lord summarize the law and in Luke 10:27, the Gospel is summarized. But think not of it as the double commandment of love, but at least as the tripple commandment.
I argue for a tripple commandment of love, for one should not only love God and our neighbor, but the very last words tells us that our love should also include ourselfs. "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Hence, we are not to forget about loving ourselfs. Selfcare, selflove, selfrespect - it is the Gospel.
I said that we at least should count them as a tripple commandment of love for there is one more thing I reckon we forget, and that is to veiw the creation as our neighbor. As St. Francis of Assisi would preach and as the story of creation teaches us: we are all created equall in the eyes of God. The Bible does not say 'and God saw that the fowls that fly above the earth was better than the cattle'; everything ever created by God, was good independent of everything else. Equally good, humans, bugs, trees alike. Hence, the juniper bush and the savannah elephant are as much a neighbor as any random human being.

We meet with experiences of a world that suffers in so many ways and we bear the collective guilt of man's devastating contribution to life. We meet because as long as we come together, as long as we pray together, as long as we live out the love spoken about in the Gospel - there is hope.

We're very proud and honored to be part of a worldwide ecumenical youth community that upholds human rights, economic justice, gender equality, rights for education, and many more that actualizes our faith in a God that is the God of history, justice, and struggle who is and works with the poor and the downtrodden.

We give many thanks for the opportunities that the WSCF has given us and for many more opportunities in the future. As the world faces a multipolar world, continued economic crises, imperialist aggressions, and effects of the pandemic, we must, as a global community, re-discover our faith that is not only part of the material world, but seeks with other sectors and groups to systematically change the world to a new kind of structural model towards peace based on social justice. Let us study and live our faith. Let us remember that Christ, while He is God, was born poor, struggled with the poor, and executed as part of the working class.

The world continues to face a revolutionary situation that requires our solidarity and action. Let us do everything that we can and we must towards peace and collective strengthening (Rom 14:19).

We hope to connect and work with many more SCMs around the world!

Let us preach the Good News that there is hope among struggle.
Let us be the fishers of the people.
Let us carry the cross of the oppressed.
