My name is Anjelica, (my students call me Ms. V) and I have been helping children grow their academic skills and confidence for over ten years. I began tutoring when I was in tenth grade, teaching Latin to a few youngsters in my neighborhood. 

I later pursued a path in education, joining the New York City Teacher Fellows in 2014 and completing my MS in Secondary Special Education at Long Island University in 2016.

I taught middle school math for four years at a Brooklyn public school, and am now rearing and teaching my own child at home.

Currently, in my spare time, I am studying early childhood education through the work of Maria Montessori and The Waldorf School philosophies. I am here to help your child practice skills that he/she must practice throughout the week.

2) I want to help you (parent) help your child, so oftentimes I will follow up with parents after a session to let them know how best to support their child's learning.

3) As a courtesy, I ask for a 24 hour (or sooner) notice if a session must be cancelled. I don't charge cancellation fees because that is mean and I don't believe in that.

4) Tutoring sessions start promptly at the time we agree to. If you are running late, the hour will still end at the assigned time.
