surely thats just about the relevancy and engagement of the content to the students?

So a student-centred pedagogy is paramount then?

All technology filters what we engage with, how is this different? Why do we fetishize face to face contact?

I'm worried that student simply won't look at the pod/vod/lazy casts before they come ... they rarely do pre-class prep now ... how is that going to change just because we have flash new teaching spaces?

I feel like we're asked to be the gunie-pigs, experimenting with new teaching & learning technologies with little to no real support, but can be assured that the uni still expects exemplary teaching outcomes. Give me real tangible examples so that i can see how it can be achived. Then support us in delivering it.

By re-appraising the true benefits of this form of interaction. Do we need to focus more on subject matter than the participatory engagement of individuals with eaach other at a social level?

Student operate in a pseudo-social level of engagement today. They would be happier in a mediated interactive environment then through corporeal face-to-face interactions.

Knowing and understanding the full capacity of the technologies available

equity of access for students who dont have latest technology eg. headsets etc for live online forums in which they are expected to participate

agreed. Having just moved back from a regional area - I can't get internet signal. Can we expect our external/regional students (for example) to have same level of access to these technologies as urban?

And having workload models that account accurately fo rthe time required to create/record content. This includes understanding that once it is recorded for year 1, it may not be re-useable in year 2 and 3

All our courses are delivered the same for ever according to the HoS? ... not to be mistaken for the HoF!
