My earliest memory with media happens to be animation with cartoons such as Tom & Jerry being prevalent.

Animation is a method in which figures are manipulated to appear as moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. Today, most animations are made with computer-generated imagery (CGI). Computer animation can be very detailed 3D animation, while 2D computer animation (which may have the look of traditional animation) can be used for stylistic reasons, low bandwidth, or faster real-time renderings. Other common animation methods apply a stop motion technique to two- and three-dimensional objects like paper cutouts, puppets, or clay figures.

An animated cartoon is an animated film, usually a short film, featuring an exaggerated visual style.

(A) My earliest form of media when I was young was with Cartoons on the television, I would often watch on Cartoons on channels such as Cartoon Network and Nickolodeon.

(B) A Cartoon is a type of illustration that is typically drawn, sometimes animated, in an unrealistic or semi-realistic style. The specific meaning has evolved over time, but the modern usage usually refers to either: an image or series of images intended for satire, caricature, or humor; or a motion picture that relies on a sequence of illustrations for its animation. Someone who creates cartoons in the first sense is called a cartoonist, and in the second sense they are usually called an animator.

The concept originated in the Middle Ages, and first described a preparatory drawing for a piece of art, such as a painting, fresco, tapestry, or stained glass window. In the 19th century, beginning in Punch magazine in 1843, cartoon came to refer – ironically at first – to humorous illustrations in magazines and newspapers. Then it also was used for political cartoons and comic strips. When the medium developed, in the early 20th century, it began to refer to animated films which resembled print cartoons.

While animation can include any subject, style, or age group, the word “cartoon” usually describes colorful short pieces that are often intended to be humorous and to appeal to children. Cartoon animation has been used for this purpose since the dawn of animated film in the early 20th century. The term “cartoon” is also used to describe printed humorous drawings that appear in newspapers or periodicals. These, however, are more accurately called comic strips or gag panels. Animation originated at the same time as motion picture photography. Both exist because of a function of the human eye and mind known as persistence of vision. This causes a rapid sequence of different images to be perceived as a single moving image by the observer.

The word television is a conjugation of the Greek word tele that refers to something that is far away and the Latin word "visio" that means sight. It has evolved since its inception as a mechanical device in 1800 to an electronic device since the early 1900s. The first electronic televisions marketed were in black and white until 1940. The Mexican engineer Guillermo González Camarena the first system for the transmission of color images.

When I was born, this was the earliest form of media that I have encountered that I think is traditional. I chose because seeing a form of media like these gives nostalgic feelings as it reminds me of the memories when I was still a child. I mostly remember using this media form to watch series, and Filipino-dubbed cartoons and anime. It reminds me of how clueless I am as a child at that time and how I loved waking up early in the morning just to watch my favorite televisions shows.

I believe that televisions are one of the primary sources of information. I have seen interviews, speeches, and photographs shown thru this type of media. Unlike the televisions nowadays, these type of televisions, CRT televisions, are very easy to use because the buttons were shown outside the television. It is a form of media in which the information and entertainment is very accessible.
