This meant that miners needed thick protective clothing to wear so they wouldn't injure themselves. He set up a business selling cloth there, and by the 1860's, he was making denim overalls. In 1873, together with Jacob Davis, a man from Nevada, he made clothes for the miners specifically, making them stronger with the use of metal rivets. <br><br></div>]]></description>
