This is a conflict of Bilbo himself. He seems sort of shy and used to his old comfortable home. Until he finds it in his true self to speak out. " '... If you want food, and if you want to go on with this silly adventure- its yours after all and not mine- you had better slap your arms and rub your legs and try to help me get the others out while we still have a chance!" (pg 193).

This is a poem about somebody walking in a forest unknown and not seen without any leaves crunching or twigs snapping. This is how Bilbo walks with his ring and his hobbit feet through out the book because he is quiet.

This article talks about the first family to climb mount everest. I feel like this relates to Bilbo and the Dwarves because they are all working together to finish an adventure. The family is very daring, just as the hobbit and dwarves are too. Both are the first time anyone has attempted of doing the event. There were also people who probably didnt want to go at first.

Theme

I feel like this is the theme for the book for many reasons. The hobbit and the dwarves have numerous setbacks throughout the book. They all have a plan or get over fear to push through them though. Bilbo also has many setbacks. First off, he is away from home and has to learn how to adapt. Then he is on his own and has to save 12 dwarves! " The idea came to him to lead the furious spiders further and further away from the dwarves, if he could" (pg 159)

Mood

I felt the mood was eerie at some points. Especially at the part where they had just entered the dark forest. This image also reminds me of eeriness because there is no one there and it looks oddly silent. Just as in the forest it felt like things were looking at them, watching them, from all directions.
