         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dentists are the frontline of good oral health. They work to prevent and treat dental and oral diseases, correct dental irregularities and treat dental/facial injuries. A dentist is a doctor, scientist and clinician dedicated to the highest standards of health through prevention, diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases and conditions. Dentists play a key role in early detection of oral cancer and other illnesses and other problems that sometimes show in the oral cavity. Common tasks that a dentis carries out includes filling cavitites, peforming root canals, extracting teeth, and providing preventive care such as cleanings and fluride treatments. They handle extractions, dental implants and corrective jaw surgery.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Periodontist – These specialists prevent, diagnose and treat gum disease. They peform scale polishing of the teeth, applying fluoride treatments, and may also take impressions for dental appliances. </p><p><strong><em>Dental Therapists</em></strong></p><p>Dental therapists can peform many of the same duties as a dental hygenists but are also trained to provide certaun restorative treaments, such as fillings.          <description><![CDATA[<p>The role of a dental nurse is essential in supporting the dental team and ensuring that paitents recive high-quality care. Dental nurses assist during procedures by handling instruments. suctioning, and ensuring that the dentist have everything they may need thruout the appointment. They prepare paitents for treatment, provide comfort and support, and explain procedures to help and alleviate any anxiety and worries. Dental nurses are also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment by sterilizing instruments and ensuring that all infection control protocals are followed. They may also handle scheduling appointments, managing paitents records and coordinating with other healthcare proffessionals. Dental nurses also provide education to paitents about oral hygiene and provide infornmation on post treatment care. Some day to day tasks can be opening and closing the surgeries everyday, set up for every paitent and cleaning up after every appointment, write up the paitents notes/chart accordingly, carry out stock checks and stock control, offer chair side support and reassurance and much more.
