1-To ensure that I had a reliable Internet connection to work on my final project, I had to contract a mobile Internet service plan for my phone. This way, I was able to use my phone as an access point to share its Internet connection with my computer. This way, I was able to work on my final project.

2-I wasn't able to find a Spanish teacher to verify the final translation.

1. My first challenge was to look for the book. It was very difficult for me because It took to much time to find a book that was not translated.

2. My second challenge was to get the authorization letter from the author.

To meet the challenges of translating a book of poems while preserving the context and cultural nuances, one must have a thorough understanding of both the source and target cultures. It is important to know the history behind each poem to capture the original intent, emotion and artistic expression, as it goes beyond literal translation. On the other hand, to find the most accurate translation technique, I experiment with different techniques and compare the results to determine which approach best preserves the original work's artistic and emotional impact.

Challengues :

1 - One challenge is that I have to get a teacher to verify the translation from English to Spanish.

2 - The other challenge I had was to get a book that was not in translation.

2-the solution was to get an anonymous book as I had reserved a book for translation but before I could translate it someone else had already translated it.

2- Translating a book can be time-consuming, and tight deadlines can compromise the quality of the Book.

Solution:

1- To tackle this challenge, I immerse myself in the author's body of work to understand their distinctive tone, vocabulary, and narrative flow. Regarding time constraints, I employ effective project management techniques, including breaking down tasks and utilizing CAT tools for efficiency and consistency. Also, organizing myself with specific times during the week to have the proper time to work on this project.

1. At times the connection or signal was not good to collect information or facilitate the project a little.

2. Personal organization was a challenge, since you have to know how to carry out the final project and work hand in hand so as not to lose detail and time.

   1. I think that the best solution would be to know how to organize so as not to have to be in trouble doing poorly done jobs.

Solution: To do a deep research for the terms that are more suitable for our tranlation.

2. For any unclear phrases or complex legal language, reach out to the author. They can clarify the intent and may also provide insight into how the text should flow, especially if it contains specific nuances or technical jargon.

2.Simplifying Structures: Break down complex sentences into simple components. Practice translating shorter sentences first before tackling longer, more complicated ones.

3.Researching Context: Students should research cultural references and idioms to understand their meanins. Utilising resources like online forums or bilingual dictionaries can provide valuable insights.

The second challenge was related to my availability. I live with an elderly person who requires my care and attention, limiting the time I can dedicate to the project. To address this, I created a detailed schedule to better manage my time. This approach helped me balance my responsibilities more effectively and ensure I met deadlines without neglecting my other obligations.

Challenge: Words, expressions or cultural references do not have a direct equivalent in the target language.

Solution: The translator can choose cultural adaptation to find similar expressions or idioms in the target culture, or add a footnote to explain the cultural context without losing the essence of the original meaning.

2.Dialect or spoken language

Challenge: Regional dialects or colloquialisms from the original text do not have a clear counterpart in the target language.

Solution: Use dialect or informal language that has a similar flavor in the target culture, or represent the speech pattern in a way that conveys the social or regional context of the character.

3.Ambiguities in the Source Text

Challenge: Ambiguity or vague phrasing in the original text can lead to multiple interpretations.

Solution: Collaborate with the author (if possible) to clarify the intended meaning, or make a well-reasoned choice about how to translate the passage, while preserving its flexibility or meaning.

1- Conveying the original cultural references or idiomatic expressions in the book is demanding, as direct translations could lose their meaning or impact in the target language.

2- Maintaining the Author's Voice is difficult due to preserving Jorge Vargas Ordoñez’s unique style and tone required experience as a good translator. As we know, different languages have varying ways to express style and mood.

Solution: 

Ask the author about a word or phrase that I don't know the intention  and the tone. Subsequently to  stay clarified to do the best possible translation.
