Communal workers who clean debris, repair roads, and restore electricity and water supply in the cities after attacks. 

Farmers who start sowing campaigns wearing military helmets and vests, while bomb squads are neutralizing bombs in the fields. 

A paramedic and policeman from Germany who spent his vacation in Ukraine evacuating injured children from destroyed hospitals. 

I don't like: feeling helpless when being asked whether my family in Ukraine is safe. 42 mln people are a family  

What you should know about me:  

Previous Journalism work most proud of: Not sure if to be proud of.. but the most rewarding experience was working on a film about women taxi drivers from Indian slums. I was stunned by their incredible effort to overcome so many obstacles to achieve something so “normal” in western and most of the Indian society: get a driving license. Yet, they had more courage to learn to drive on crazy Indian roads, than I have ever had!  

I once want to be: In 2006 I was a student of SSU and I first came to the EU to participate in a conference in Paris: “Ukraine and Belarus: which neighbors to European Union?”

I once want to be a participant in a conference: “The role of the new EU-Member Ukraine in restoring peace and security in Europe”.

Whatever my job was (journalist, Goethe Zentrum program coordinator, filmmaker at a creative agency, research associate), I was often getting into a role of a mediator, representing Ukraine and to some extent Germany – in India, representing Ukraine, and India – in Germany.
