         <title>Reflection</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>One thing that I have learned in the first two grading periods is to always be consistent in studying. This is because whenever I did not study for something, I almost always found myself having a hard time trying to recall the different topics of the term. I also learned that depending on my stock knowledge won't always get me high scores no matter how well I listen in class and that I should always study to keep the things I learned about the topic fresh in my mind and to be able to fix any common mistakes I may have to avoid committing these in a long test or quiz.&nbsp;Not only that, I also learned the importance of learning the different conjectures by heart to be able to apply these conjectures and definitions properly.</p><p>As I look back on the previous terms, I can confidently say that I have reached my goals as a student here at Ateneo as a grade 10 student. I have completed most of my goals; the only goal not being completed is my ability to stay consistent with my long test scores. This is because the last LT that we took had geometry, which is one of the topics that I have the most difficulty with. And because of that, I feel like I could have done better with this term by focusing on learning and understanding the different conjectures and equations that came with our topic on circles. However, I am quite satisfied with my performance these past terms; I was able to get two A's in math compared to before when I was struggling to keep up with the topics and barely getting a B as my final grade. Not only that, I was able to recite more in class, and this to me is a big improvement because, in the past grades, I rarely recited in class. This not only meant that I was able to participate in class more, but it also meant that I was more confident in my answers, which was one of the many goals that I had set for myself last year and this year.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Conceptual Understanding </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>One of the hardest tests that I have done this term was the last long test we had, and this was a long test about circles. At first, when I was taking the quizzes  about this topic, it seemed easy and relatively easy to understand until I took the long test, and I realized that I still had a long way to go when it comes to mastering topics that have geometry in them. This is because I learned that I have difficulty applying the different conjectures and equations to different scenarios. I especially remember when I took the long test. I noticed I had to take more time answering the long test than I normally do, especially when  I noticed I took a longer time solving and thinking about how I would solve the problems when normally it takes me a few moments  to properly understand and solve the problems in the long test. Two ways that I could think of to be able to solve this problem of mine are: first, to work on worksheets about this topic; and second, to study more about the conjectures. I chose these two methods to be better in this topic because I believe that the best way to get better at something is to be exposed to it more and the best way that I can think of to expose my self to these types of topics is to do worksheets and read reviewers about it.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1 common misconception that I stumbled upon during the term was permutations with groupings. When I was practicing problems about this, I realized  that my answers, even though they had the correct equations, were always wrong, After realizing this, I took my time to analyze my answers and I had realized that I had not counted the grouped slot to the rest of the slots, which led to my answers to being wrong. For example, my answer was 4! 5! but the real answer would be 4!6! and this was because the slot of the group was not included in the 5!, which led me to getting the wrong answer.  What made this a problem for me was that this was my first time learning about permutations and I was still trying to get used to solving equations like this. This became harder when circle permutations were introduced, which added another thing that I had to keep in mind and remember. One way that I was able to solve this problem of mine was my continuous effort to practice questions like this. I did this because I found out the best way for me to get better at things is to continuous exposure to the problem so that I may get used to it and have an easier time solving it.  This also helped me get used to the different equations that we had for this topic. </p>]]></description>

         <title>My best work</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is arguably the best grade I had in any of my long tests when compared to all my other math long test grades during the time I had spent in junior high, with my only mistake being a  mis-input in my calculator, which led me to write the wrong answer.  How I was able to prepare for this was first the cerebry. Before the long test, we are required to do a certain amount of worksheets in cerebry and I used this time to properly hone my knowledge on this topic. Instead of guessing all of the answers to quickly finish the worksheets, I instead took my time to really understand the different problems and to understand how to use the different equations that were given to us. I also took time to understand the different definitions supplied to us so that I could properly apply them whenever I was facing a question that was challenging. From this experience, I learned to always put effort in all the things I do, as our effort will always be rewarded and the reward I got for putting a lot of effort to prepare for this was a high score in the LT. I also learned to not use logic, as I tried to once use this when answering a worksheet and it ended up with me making a mistake. And it helped me learn the importance of understanding and applying the different conjectures, definitions and equations because simply assuming this will lead us to making mistakes,</p>]]></description>

         <title>Collaborative Work </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This was arguably one of the hardest group activities that we had this term. This was because we had to draw the original circle whilst only using a shard of the circle as a reference to draw the original circle. What made this difficult was the fact that we were not given the midpoint of the circle, so we weren't able to immediately find the radius to draw the rest of the circle. And on top of that,  we had eleven conjectures to choose from to find the circle. We were taking so long to find the circle that we started to do some guesswork. This led to us trying to draw the circle with just the shard or to try to make the furthest point from the circle in the shard, for which we were given the center. But we ultimately learned that those methods would only lead us to the wrong answer and we must try to find the original circle by using the conjectures that were given to us. In the end, we found out that one way to find the circle's center point was tangent conjecture.  After we finally found the center point, we measured the length of the radius, and I wrote and explained the procedures we took to find the center of the circle on the paper. One thing that this experience has taught me is that trying to brute-force and use logic to answer a question will only get you so far, often leading you in the wrong direction. I also learned the importance of learning and memorizing the different definitions by heart. This is so that I have fully understood the conjectures and will have an easier time applying them to different topics. Not only that, it would also mean that I would not have a hard time trying to recall the different conjectures that we had learned. </p>]]></description>
