I learned how to deal with clients who are more shy/not confident and felt like I (and the clients, I can't take all the credit) were better at engaging in the consultations, including asking more questions, giving ideas, and participating more openly in the discussion, even clients that were forced to be there. I am excited that there were much more lunch consultations this quarter than last year, and I got a variety of essays, not just for research! My only experience being last year, I was not prepared for the amount of people that made appointments. I really enjoyed having more consultations—it allowed me to grow as a consultant and learn more. Furthermore, I also switched to lunch consultations, which felt a lot shorter than after school. This was unfortunate, but it taught me how to better manage my time in the Scribe. I've loved consulting, and I'm glad the Scribe has been busy lately! I love consulting, and I also e-consulted this quarter, and I loved consulting in that fashion! I learned a lot about analyzing objects and applying them to the read world. I consulted a lot of TOK exhibitions, and I've gained a lot of knowledge about analyzing and Level 3 arguments. After watching other consultations I felt like I had a good direction to start. My first few consultations have been great and it’s a huge learning experience. I’ve definitely had trouble being organized with my consultations, but I’m starting to get better. I think I’ve done well using all of my allotted time, but I could definitely try to hurry more to get more value. I learned how a normal lunch consultation works, and that in and of itself was awesome! Another thing that was awesome was getting back into the Scribe mindset after 3+ months off. There are no main struggles I am having, just getting into the lunch consultation mindset/mode fully.

This first quarter has been packed and exhausting, but I have had a lot of fun too! I have really enjoyed getting to know the different consultants and clients that come in, as there is always someone different. I also feel like I am definitely expanding my own writing capabilities and techniques. As for things I am struggling with, I am struggling so far with getting my clients to utilize their whole time. So far it has been only freshmen and sophomore's that have been forced to come in, so garnering excitement has been a struggle.
