The individuals working at the mine are passionate about their jobs and the work they perform. There appears to be a sense of grief about the mine closure, the loss of comradery and friendships formed over lifetimes. There is a real sense of uncertainty about the future and future purpose.

Impact on the Multigenerational miners - unsure what to do next, unwilling to change due to the uncertainty of the future

Lack of awareness of closure - what it means to individuals when it's their livelihood.

There should be more community consultation. Even more so if next to metropolitan areas.

2 year timeframe is not enough to ready community for mass change. First Nations peoples do not see/treat time in the same way the western world does. Necessary for CSP considerations needs and wants to be considered on par with engineering/corporate needs and wants.
