         <description><![CDATA[<div>the Indian Removal Act was a law passed by Congress that stated that any tribe that lived east of the Mississippi would be moved to an area west of it, now Oklahoma. while most tribes agreed, some took action, like court action and even some took armed. The Trail of Tears is known by that name because 17,000 of the Cherokee Indians were forced out of their land and forced to walk to their new land, 4,000 died from hunger, disease, and winter weather.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
