The concept that resonates with me is that, the real world connections follow through with what the book is about. To me it helps understand the struggles the characters face throughout the book. I wouldn’t have known what genetic engineering is until I read it in “ action “. It’s a big problem people have and to use kids is a little bizarre. The One Safe Place is a good book to truly understand how bad things can be in a blind hearing and to not trust things right off the bat when you don’t know what could be behind the true statement.

The concept that resonates with me is the Gabriel Penn Home .It resonates with me b/c the genetic engineering seems interesting and also weird, b/c one second they are a kid and then another a old visitor wanting to be a kid again without the scars of their childhood.Thats why the kids can't be "damaged "(a bad childhood). So the visitors don't have to deal with the mental instability the kids have.Which is honestly really messed up .Also the kids never acutally get adopted they get thrown back on the street. Also the characters begin to submit to power and resist to the power by the end(hence them running away and going to Devin's farm taking all the kids with them).

Throughout this story the characters have been through a few obstacles starting from the beginning of the book. First Kit and Devin were in the city scrounging for food then they found themselves trapped in a home for children which wasn't a home for children, but a place to transform children's bodies, or their state of mind, to make the elderly feel young again.
