I think we have seasons due to the revolution which is were the earth goes around an entire Object, not the same as rotation, rotation I think is the object itself goes in a circle wich I think causes day and night. When one 1/2 of Earth is closest to the Sun then it is Summer, but then the other half is having Winter.
