This statement of the speaker, as i agree, tends to discuss how we change by modern technologies. Like cellphones, instead of having a family get together, we watch movies online. See the current post of an actor or actress. Then we tweet or comment on post. After that, the circulation of time we spent is online already. We become a person isolated or alone in a place that create a feeling connected to the other people. We can not see time of separation from the real world. 

The situation reflects the changing individual in a family or community wherein everyone is busy for themselves. Like your mom is online in facebook. You're brother is playing mobile legends. You're father is watching Netflix. You're friends are in vacation busy taking photos of them and what will you do? You will post feeling alone then likes and comments will come to change your feeling alone to feeling loved.

This is much true in some cases today. Sometimes we ask YouTube how to cook adobo than assisting our Mom or Auntie cooking in the kitchen. We ask chrome to explain a subject than going to library or ask our parents or family members to assist you in your assignment. 

We see this mostly in streets. We can go along some people talk over the phone or even playing with their gadgets. It seems now you can do things without someone besides you physically. You can be even laughing even you are alone but feels having someone is their by your side by using phone.
